The pair return for the sequel of the lovable tabby cat
In the world of animation inside live-action, Walt Disney started it all with Mary Poppins. But in the 40 years since that classic, many other studios have perfected it.
Fox did it a few years ago with Garfield: The Movie; now, the lovable fat cat is back in Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties. The cast is back, with a few added animals - including a Garfield look-a-like, Prince, voiced by Tim Curry.
In the film, the gang heads to London where Garfield and Prince get mixed up; Garfield ends up living the extravagant life in a castle, while Price lives Garfield's life eating lasagna.
After almost three years, the on-line comic strip, Deer Me by Sheryl Schopfer, has moved to a domain with a name that better reflects the comic, Deerme.net. Thank you for reading!

I’m proud to announce the Western Pennsylvania Furry Weekend, http://www.wpafw.org, is being held Columbus Day weekend, October 6-8, 2006, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Bears killed and devoured a monkey in front of horrified visitors at a Dutch zoo, officials and witnesses said.
Visitors reported that the grisly scene began as several bears chased the monkey, a macaque, onto a wooden structure at Beekse Bergen Safari Park.
They said a bear tried unsuccessfully to shake the monkey loose, ignoring attempts by keepers to distract it. The bear then climbed up and grabbed the monkey, mauling it to death and bringing it to its concrete den, where three bears ate it.

Actors explore human qualities in animal characters

LOS ANGELES -- Bruce Willis and Wanda Sykes both had problems tapping into their inner woodland creatures for the film "Over the Hedge" until they decided to make their furry characters more human.
Wow, what a year! It's nice to end my three-year stint as con chair on such a high note. Highlights from the convention follow...
Due to unforseen circumstances, Conifur NW has been canceled for 2006. The previous year's hotel has been torn down, a hotel they considered using as a replacement was also recently torn down. Many other hotels in the area are either going through ownership changes, or remodeling changes, or otherwise not fitting for the convention. This unfortunately leaves them with not enough time to plan for a location to hold the convention.

Flow will be become the sixth current (and seventh overall) fully animated movie in the Criterion Collection later this year. The Criterion Collection is a prestigious producer of physical media for rare and worthy titles with a small (but growing) selection of animated titles.
Baby male seal found Feb16 in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. Rescued by Mystic Aquarium (w/ cops assist), judged as thin, dehydrated & lethargic, seal receiving treatment & fluid therapy. Aquarium hopes to return seal to "ocean in the months ahead".

In a rather confusing move, Warner Bros.'s Max streaming service has all original Looney Tunes theatrical shorts, for the stated reason they aren't "family" entertainment. Meanwhile, The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is hitting theaters, and is worth seeing, with or without a "family" audience.

Some good news in Looney Tunes land, or has Wile E. just not looked down yet? The rights to show the shelved Coyote vs. Acme might be sold to The Day the Earth Blew Up distributor Ketchup Entertainment, allowing the movie to finally come to theaters.
Here’s a short graphic novel we just stumbled across: Life Is An Open Door, a full-color one-shot by Mason Mendoza, with art by Alonso Molina-Gonzales. “Have you ever worked in a cramped office, looked at the exit door, and felt that urge to get up from your desk and make a break for it?
