Clarification: It is actually Miramax that acquired the rights to Pokemon. Disney owns Miramax, so technically the headline is correct. What I'm not sure about is what sort of working relationship there is between Disney and Miramax. Has Disney pretty much allowed Miramax to keep doing what they were doing before they were acquired by Disney? A semi-autonomous subsidiary of Disney might handle Pokemon differently than Disney proper would.
