SWAT Kats revival update
A few of you may recall my earlier post about this. It's been nearly a year and exciting things are happening. For starters, Christian Tremblay (a co-creator of the series) has told us that a Kickstarter campaign to get new episodes (or a new series) produced will happen in the near future. In addition to that, our Facebook page is making a push to get new members. We've added 14 since Thursday and we're looking for more members. And people have started pitching in on a fan campaign (information of which can be found here). Once the video is posted we're hoping to get it widespread so as to attract the attention of major studio executives. Most of the activity is happening on the Facebook page, but if you're new to the revival effort (or SWAT Kats in general) your best bet is to go here first. Hope I see some of you soon!

Krazy Kat is Turning 100
Just in time for the 100th anniversary of George Herriman’s world-famous Krazy Kat comic strip, Sunday Press Books is re-releasing Krazy Kat: A Celebration of Sundays in hardcover. “A Centennial Celebration! Finally, Krazy Kat as it was meant to be seen. From the publishers of the celebrated and much-awarded Little Nemo in Slumberland: So Many Splendid Sundays! deluxe oversized reprint edition, come 135 full-size Sunday pages from 1916-1944 — plus dozens more early comics from George Herriman. It’s the eternal triangle of the comics — Kat, Mouse, and Pupp, along with the catalytic brick. Here are their glorious, poignant, and hilarious stories from the genius of George Herriman, reprinted for the first time in their original size and colors. Included in the 14 x 17-inch collection is a sampling of all Herriman’s creations for the Sunday newspaper comics from 1901-1906: Professor Otto, The Two Jackies, Major Ozone, and more, many of which have never been reprinted before. Now, 100 years after Ignatz tossed his first brick, step back in time to delight in the timeless tales of America’s great comic strip artist and his greatest creation, Krazy Kat.” Check it out on Amazon.

?????? ???? ? ???????? ?????????: ???-?????????? (Russian Furry Media)
This looks like an AMAZING show, they showcase at least 10 different kinds of costume fandom and every one is received well but it's in moon language so could someone please subtitle or at least translate it for us? it's really maddening to have no idea what they are saying...
I think I should take a break from the internet.

Best way to make friends in the fandom
Hi everyone!
I just made a throw-away account for this, so bear with me here. I'm very new to the furry community, and I have enjoyed my time here immensely so far. However, I am disappointed with how hard it has been to make friends/acquaintances in the community. And after a couple of weeks of exploring groups with different interests and browsing chatrooms and omegle, and I have been at a loss.
So I'm asking you, r/furry: what's the best way to make friends in the furry fandom? And to tie in with that, what's the best way of getting involved with the community? To be fair, I have explored FA and other places quite a bit, and I honestly don't know where to go from here. Any ideas? Thank you!

Unsheathed Presents: K.M. Hirosaki's Star Wars, Episode IV - Episode IV: A New Hope
Not dissing, just curious. Why so many canines?
Ive always wondered why there are so many canine fursonas out there. Im not hating, but ever since I got into the fandom Ive realized that majority of fursonas are some sort of modified canine species.
Do you guys think there is a bigger/subconscious reason behind the choice?
Is it because dogs have been in our homes for centuries and that causes us to feel like we can relate to them more than other species?
Is it because a lot of people in the fandom aren't necessarily artists so its the simplest way to express their furriness?
Ive also noticed that a lot of new furs start out with a canine fursona, commonly a fox or husky. Do you think thats another factor? Like people make a canine 'sona at first and end up sticking with it.
Or maybe a "fitting in" sort of thing?
Ive always known I was a dragon at heart, but i ponder this and the possibilities from time to time and im just wondering what you guys think:3
And if you are a proud canine, why did you pick it?
Sorry for getting philosophical on yall lol
EDIT: Thanks everyone for youre interesting input and opinions on this!! Ive really enjoyed reading all the different viewpoints! I didnt really expect this to get that much attentionX3

FC-101 Paws Up Sandy
My story of when I first found this subreddit...
When I first found this subreddit, I was so excited! Happy as I was, I began the meet new people and friends! At long last I posted my first link! To my surprise, it was downvoted to hell. After a while I thought "what would the lovely furry community want to see?". Because of this I started to draw my art. "ugh" is what I though when I first started because it wasn't easy. Not for a month, did I start draw professionally. Costed me a lot to get art lessons, but it definetly payed off because of the wonderful support I got! Happy again, I began to draw more and more. Overall, the community was appreciative of my furry artworks and I thank you for that! For my cakeday (which is coming up soon) I will have a surprise! For all of you fans of mine =D. After that, I will go back to my routine of random furry artwork. Get my artwork at Deviantart and search for me by my username. Getting some canvases for Christmas, do I might do a giveaway with some art :P. Other than that, there isn't much to say except. Thank you guys sooooo much! See you guys and foxes later!
Read the first letter of each sentence to get the real message.

Dota 2 Furry Steam group
If you're a furry who enjoys playing Dota 2, please join our steam group. It doesn't matter what skill level you are. We're very small in numbers at the moment, but hopefully we can grow over time and eventually have enough members to play in house games!

Is it even possible for a furry to hate animals?
You got some explaining to do if your fursona is a dog but hate real canines.
