Xiath: Can I have a drumroll please?!. This is the first episode of FursonaPod 3.0!!

We decided to just do a fairly simple topic this time so Rainstar, Losa, and myself decided to do a discussion of species!

Not a whole lot is new in terms of the format of the cast yet, but we are planning on implementing new segments as time goes by. Make sure to email us with any segment and/or topic ideas! We really want to make this podcast the best it can be for our listeners.

Ok here's the deal. I really want to go to FCN and I only live 40 min away from it. I'm in Sterling Heights.

I've never been to a furry con (been to plenty anime ones). My boyfriend is not interested being that it's just not his thing and the one friend I have that would have been willing to go with me is going to be out of state that month.

So I was wondering if there were any friendly furs in my area that would like to chat with me maybe make friends and maybe I'll have somebody to go to FCN with.

I'm most comfortable with gay guys and down to earth non catty dramatic females and I am female.

I hope I get to know all relatively well as I am new to the fandom. With that being said here's my question:

My fursona is a fox. What is the best way of stating that? Examples: "My fursona is a fox" vs "I'm a fox". Will wording it differently alter the meaning? I only ask because, after some research (nerdy I know), I've found that some people in the fandom believe they're an animal trapped in a human body. I don't really care about what people believe or do cause it's what makes us awesome, but I only ask to clarify if there's some sort of weird taboo.

Hi there.

I am attempting to find artist(s) who would be interested in making anthro art for a mobile game.

Don't worry, this will be paid.

I am looking for some or all of the following:

-Comic style panels for in between levels/story.

-Character busts for 3-5 characters, for dialogue boxes.

-Backgrounds (for Menus, and/or Gameplay) Vector preferred.

-Vector Tiles for 2d grid based gameplay (Including walls, doors, top-down view of characters in 3-5 poses, and possible form others)

-Vector GUI elements (Buttons, icons, various other details)

-Vector Game Logo and Icon

I figure I'll probably end up commissioning a couple different artists to get all I need done.

Anyone know any artists that might be interested? There are a lot of people out there looking for commissions, but I don't know many artists who are interested in Vector based work, or creating grid tiles to be used on mobile devices. Another problem I was having is people I've commissioned in the past taking forever/poofing on me. I'd need these to be done within a timeframe (1-2 weeks)

I'd greatly appreciate anyone who has any advice on how to find artists that suit my needs. Recommendations, ways to search, websites to do so (Besides FurAffinity and InkBunny) etc.

So I'm hoping this post isn't in TOO poor taste for my first time here, but I'm just a smidge desperate. Apologies in advance to anyone!

I was sent here by a very close friend of mine who some of you may know around here, Wooperlooper. She's had nothing but nice things to say about the community here. While I have never personally been active in the reddit furry fandom, I've been a reddit user for a few years and a furry for over a decade now.

Anyway, you're not here to read my life's story. I came here to ask for your guy's help. I don't want to go into super specific details here (though I can provide them on request), but I basically need to raise a little bit of money. I'm taking some emergency commissions at the moment, and I'm doing my best to spread the word.

My art isn't exactly traditional or digital drawn art, but I actually do bead sprites. They've been making an appearance on reddit lately, seems like, but I've been doing them for a few years now.

I was hoping that some of you would take the time to have a look at my FurAffinity. Again, I honestly feel pretty shitty pandering or asking for anything from you all, but I'm not entirely sure what else to do at this point.

Hey all,

Any advice on how to approach the topic of furries with a non-fur who doesn't really "get" the fandom?

I'm currently in a three year relationship with my boyfriend who is not a furry. Now I've heard time and time again "don't date outside the fandom!" but we began dating before I even knew what furry was, and before I discovered the community.

His attitude toward the fandom, and the fact that I am a furry, is at best tolerant. He knows I'm a fur, and doesn't want to tell me I can't be, but at the same time he would rather not talk about the fandom at all.

I'd like to go to a con one day, and actually meet some of my fur friends in real life, and I'd like my boyfriend to be a part of that experience because he is important to me.

I'd appreciate any advice on how to possible sway his opinion. I'm not expecting him to BE furry, but just to accept it as part of my life.
