What is you guys' opinion on 3D modeling and animations?
I am curious as I am getting into 3D modeling and my plan is to go into a career focused on that, but more specifically my plans are once I get good enough to make models of everyone's fursona on here for you wonderful people :) Hell if I were to get good enough I could even do commissions out of it...but I think that's wishful thinking >_>
Along with making a dream animation I have been planning since I was 17 based off of TRON and tells the origin story of my fursona.
Another reason I bring up the topic is every post I've seen with 3D modeling in it is either hardly seen by anyone or not seen at all and I was wondering why it isn't getting as much appreciation as say pixel art or something.
Sum up:
Do you guys actually like seeing 3D models?
Why do you think it is not appreciated that much?
Once I am good enough would you guys want models of your fursonas? Would commissioning them be a good idea?
Thank you for your time :)

Becoming More Active in the Furry Community
Essentially what it says on the tin. I've been looking to be more active in the furry community, what are some nice user-friendly sites to join?
I find it difficult to keep up with social media so I'm looking for something easy for my poor fuzzbrain to work out. :d
Thanks a million.
And hey if I join the site we can be buddies

How many other furries do you know in real life?
Hey all,
It seems like a fair amount of furries here (or at least the more vocal ones) frequently run into other furs whether that be at a con, meetup, etc. However, I've never run into another furry in real life (probably due to missing every con...) So I'm wondering, how many of you know a furry in real life and if so, how many?

Hello
Hey everybody! I'd like to exchange introductions as a new member of the /r/furry subreddit. I'm DiamondVoid, I've been looking around here and there in the subreddit and finally decided to come out and introduce myself even though I'm a very shy person. This community is very friendly from what I've seen so far, so I'll try to make myself comfortable with it!

Hi /r/furry! Lurker finally giving in to the clutches of this awesome subreddit.
Hi, I'm just a long time lurker who's been creeping around on this subreddit for a while but I decided to create an account because I'd like to start contributing. This place is really chill and I love the ultra friendly atmosphere.
About me, I guess. I'm just a 24 year old guy that loves League, reading, and thinking about writing (I'm rarely motivated enough to actually do it lol.) I'm just a boring old wolf (maybe jaguar? idk). I've been working on a novella but it's just kinda in early development still. I'm looking forward to being less of a creeper and more visible!
Wololo.

If you could, would you surgically become an anthro?
I've seen a LOT of the "You wake up one day and you're your fursona" posts. It's getting redundant. I thought this would have a little more realism, so here it goes.
Someday in the future, or even let's say, about a week from now, you meet someone who is a doctor that says they have been testing putting fur, ears, and tails on mice and monkeys, and they finally have the legal ability to do human testing with volunteers. He offers you a chance to become an "Anthro" for free, but there could be problems down the road, and there could be problems with the surgery.
You will have your face reconstructed to shape a muzzle, and your jaw structure changed, adding teeth and modifying your nose to be animal like. Your ears will be relocated to the top of your head, and be in the form of the animal you request. Your fingers will have claws and pawpads, along with your feet. You will have a tail in the structure of the animal you choose. Every part of your skin on your entire body will be opened and fur will be added, with the feeling just as hair on your arms or legs, able to notice when it is touched. You will have full control of your body, tail wagging and moving like an animal, Ears twitching, and same with the nose. Your tongue will also become animal like, completing your new surgery. You will still have your sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing at the same level since you're still being structured around a human.
Now, the downsides 1. The surgery could fail, though the doctors are sure with the tests, you are patient one after all. 2. If the surgery is a success, you will be the first and only anthro for a while, until more people do the surgery, there will be of course horrible things said by people, racism, and even kicking you out of stores possibly until there is more awareness. 3. There are no tests to see how this will effect long term, it's a gamble.
I wanted this to be a more "realistic" question, so I left out people who have "abilities" and was really going for plain anthro's. Sorry dragons, demons, gods, ferals, ext...
The second part would be, if you wouldn't be test one, after people have become anthros for a year and there are no issues, would you want to do the surgery if it were guaranteed to work, and there are sanctions to keep from discrimination. But it would cost more than a small house.
I personally would volunteer to be patient 0, I think becoming an Anthro would be one of the coolest things, and I wouldn't worry about being hated cause I know one place that'd accept me for sure ;3 (You guys)
Again, I'm trying to keep this "realistic" I know that sounds crazy, but hey, so did phones before they were invented, so did small computers, and the internet. While this wouldn't ever happen in our life times, with science continuing to make organs, maybe in a few hundred years, some rich furry will become the first Anthro.
TL;DR Would you become an Anthro by surgery, being the first one and having pros and cons. (Really, just read it, it's not to long)
