Hello, I'm pretty new here!

So I've recently decided that I want to eat significantly less meat. Maybe I'll even go fully vegetarian one day, I haven't decided that yet, but for now it's just about reducing it so that it isn't an everyday thing. Interestingly enough, this has coincided with an interest in the furry fandom, I subscribed to /r/furry pretty soon after I made that decision.

Now, I wouldn't say that one of those things caused the other, I'd say they were pretty separate. But it would be interesting to know if vegetarianism is more common here, since the entire fandom basically has animals as a basis so that would make sense to me.

Do any of you who are going to MFF work retail as well?

If it's any other convention any other time of the year, I'm able to request off and attend. But, with MFF ALWYAS being right after Black Friday and before Christmas, I'd never be able to get 4 days off for that! (and I'd love to go; we drive up to Chicago for ACEN every year, so it'd be another trip).

Like, are you able to request off, no problem? I'd LOVE to go, but I feel as long as I work retail, I'll never be able to.

So I have noticed that different people seem to have different definitions. Until recently I have heard that a fursona is simply a character in an anthro animal form that represents you. However, I have also heard that it can be an anthro animal that has a completely different personality than you. What is everyone else's representation of it. Sorry I am just wanting to get this clarified.

Just wanna share, I was watching izombie so a couple comes in the police talking about furry equals to sex in furry costumes. Man I can't believe the general impression of costume/fursuit sex is still persistent. Shame.. Oh well drama drama. Lol

Interesting series you probably never heard of. Yoohoo & Friends is both a 2D animated TV Show and a toy line created by Aurora World in South Korea. According to Wikipedia, “Officially developed in 2007, the series was created to educate children about protection and preservation of the environment and encourages parents and their children to appreciate friendship, harmony, honesty and courage.” The star is a young bush baby named Yoohoo, hoo (gotcha!) travels with world having adventures with his young friends — all of them representing endangered species. The series has been picked up for distribution in North America. No sign of it yet — except in Europe and Asia — but you can see episodes (in English no less) on YouTube.
