Today I was at the Southpark Mall in Strongsville, Ohio, and I saw a group of five people who were showing off their furry pride. I wanted to go and introduce myself, but the girlfriend and I were in a hurry to get into the movie theater. Before tonight I had no idea that there were furs anywhere near here. I don't have high expectations (being that this is a relatively small community), but it would be incredible to be able to meet these guys. Please upvote to get this seen?

This is a new blog post I’m starting thanks to “Sapphy” whom does some amazing baking. Her receipts will be posted as she posts per FA. Today is Peanut Butter Cookies, no you can not wear the peanut butter for your personal enjoyment sorry! But, here is how to make some amazing cookies:

Ingredients
1 cup salted butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Materials

• Large Bowl
• Baking Sheet
• Measuring Cup
• Measuring Spoons
• Fork
• Spoon (for mixing)
• Spatula
• Cooling Rack

Directions
1. Cream together butter, sugar, then peanut butter. Beat in eggs afterward.
2. In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir into batter. Refrigerate for thirty minutes to an hour.
3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
4. Prepare a small bowl of sugar. Take a fork and gently press it into the dough, before pressing the fork into your bowl of sugar.
5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and set on ungreased/uncovered baking sheet.
Flatten each ball just enough with the sugar coated fork to make a criss-cross pattern.
Repeat coating with sugar as much as you’d like.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 9-10 minutes. Do not over-bake.
6. Wait for cookies to cool for a minute or so, than transfer over to a cooling rack till completely cooled.

I am very poor right now, so I cannot pay for a ref for my fursona, the reason I am have stooped to the level of asking is a few reasons. 1. Apperently their are a lot of new artists looking for things to draw 2. From what I have seen ref sheets are simple enough to make 3. I have wanted one for what seems like forever but have had to buy other things. (I can buy the humble bundle for you and a friend if you want to anyone who accepts)

Back to our friends at Cartoon Brew again, swooping in on one of their scoops. Not long ago they reported about an in-development Hong Kong Phooey live action/CGI feature, starring the voice of Eddie Murphy. The film is being developed and directed by Alex Zamm (Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2) and Alcon Entertainment for Warner Brothers.  Now, Mr. Zamm has posted a short test-film of the CGI lead character on line, and Cartoon Brew has the link.  See what YOU think. Does ANYONE know the printed brony comic book that was being sold at MFF this year? I've been Googling the last two hours but all I can find is brony fan art.

I'm asking in here rather than any MLP sub-reddit since I know a bunch of you went to MFF this year, where it was being sold. It's a well done full color printed comic where the artist has taken each character of the mane six and done male versions of them. I think it's also of an adult nature, but I don't have a comic yet. There are at least two books and it has been going on for at least two years.

Whoever knows the answer first, and can relay it in such a way I can find the page of the author/art/book will get sketchy tentacle art of their character. (I AM a squid after all. I pay in tentacle rapes. Unless you don't want tentacle rapes. Then... then I will just make some barnacle candies I guess.)

Dear Papa Bear

I am interested in this wolf. We have a lot in common. We live on opposite sides of the U.S., but we are handling that. Things are going great up until we started talking about what we are into. That’s where we differ a little.

Now he is into the foot fetish. That is one of a few fetishes I don’t get. I mean why would some one like feet rubbing them down there? It makes no sense. I can understand a foot rub but that. Yeah.... Well I really want to make him happy but he wants me to rub his ...... you know with my feet. I don’t like people touching my feet. You see where the problem is now.

My question is I guess. What should I do? I want him to be happy too and have his fetish taken care of but I just cant get past the whole I-have-to-have-my-feet-touched idea?

Dear Dragoncores,

While many people are “vanilla” when it comes to sex, many others have fetishes. These are just things that trigger something in our brain that sets off sexual desires. Pardon this bear for a private chuckle, but the idea of a furry writing to me about finding a foot fetish “odd” when the entire furry fandom has been accused of being a sexual fetish is somewhat amusing.

There are all kinds of fetishes out there, too many to enumerate, but here are a few common ones among the fandom: voraphilia (fantasizing about being eaten or of eating another furry), ovipositing (egg laying), tentacles, leather bears (blush), diapers, messy sex, BDSM, hermaphrodite sex, watersports, interspecies sex, and on and on. When it comes to sex, 90% of what turns us on is in the brain (as they say, the largest sex organ is the brain). Psychologists have studied sexual fetishes for ages, and there are many theories about each fetish that would take too long to go into here, so let’s focus for now on the foot fetish, which is actually the most common of all fetishes, believe it or not.

This is actually rather fascinating. Recent research has found some interesting explanations for the foot fetish. If you are aware of foot massage techniques (reflexology), for example, you might know that applying pressure on certain parts of the sole of the foot can stimulate nerves that alleviate stress and pain in other areas of the body. One of these is the genitals. Rubbing the hollow under the ankle bones is the pressure point that stimulates the genitals in both men and women (as half my audience leaves at this point to try it out LOL). And I don’t have to tell your partner that rubbing all over the bottom of the foot is just soooo goood (sorry, I love a good footie paw rub). In addition, for many men, manipulating the penis with the toes and ball of the foot in an expert way is similar in many ways to the sensation one gets when inserting the penis into a vagina. Especially nice if the partner courteously adds lotion to his feet.

What’s even more interesting is recent research that has shown that the number of those with foot fetishes increases during times of high rates of sexual disease outbreaks (e.g. the syphilis outbreaks of the 16th and 19th centuries, gonorrhea was a real problem in the 13th century, and, of course, HIV and AIDS in the modern era). Researchers have found that foot fetishes are on the rise again—the explanation? It is a form of satisfying yet safe sex.

So, Dragoncores, your boyfriend's fetish is actually not very bizarre at all, but quite common. However, we have the problem here that you are not really into it. So, what to do? Papabear’s position has always been that relationships should be give-and-take. As long as your boyfriend is not hurting you by his fetish (and he’s not in this case), then there is no harm in indulging him in this. You do have a rather sticky problem in that, for some reason, you don’t like your feet being touched. That, to me, is actually a bit more odd than your boyfriend’s fetish. You might try getting over this by slowly having your boyfriend touch your feet for short periods of time, working your way up to longer increments until you are used to it. In this way, you might get over your foot issues and go to the next level, so to speak. But, if you just cannot stand having your feet touch, then, sadly, this relationship might not work out.

Now, if you CAN see your way clear to having your feet touched and then giving him some foot massages in the needed area, then, as mentioned above, it is time for your boyfriend to reciprocate with something that YOU enjoy sexually. I’m sure you can think of something....

Papabear hopes you can work this out. It might ease your mind a bit to know that your boyfriend is not asking you to do something really bizarre; his fetish is quite normal. Maybe that might ease your stress and you can work it out with him. I hope so.

Hello fellow furs of r/furry! I'm curious to start a discussion on fur meets, do you attend any meets? Do you enjoy them? Have any other opinions or things to say about meet ups in general? post your thoughts here!

Personally I am a member of the Connecticut furs and attend a regular monthly diner fur meet at the Town Line Dinner in Rocky Hill CT. I've met a lot of good friends in the few months I've attended meets and would certainly recommend, at least in my area, that anyone looking to meet other local furs attend a public meet.

I was talking to someone earlier today and they when I asked what their fursona was they said something akin to "I was confused about what I wanted to be so I settled for...". My response was to immediately tell them the importance of choosing your fursona and that you don't just "settle" on one.

After I sent the reply I re-read it and thought it sounded like good advice. Maybe those that did not know what a fursona was or were just having a little trouble choosing one could read this and perhaps understand what they need to know. This is a slightly edited version of what I sent to that person.

Your fursona is a HUGE part of you! Think of what traits you share with the animal you choose. It should be able to say something about who you are. Usually when you tell someone your fursona they should automatically be able to know a certain part of you.

Examples; My main fursona is a bunny and for me being a bunny means; I like being thought of as small and cute, my bite is worse than my bark, my kicks are strong, I'm super soft (my hair and skin), full of energy(my friends mentioned once that I bounce when I walk and even when I'm sitting), and that whole thing about super-sex-drives... Plus I can twitch my nose up and down like a bunny rabbit too (many are amazed by this, actually. Their reactions are rather funny).

My secondary fursona is the western dragon; wise, seemingly omniscient, mature, strong, feared, has a strange attraction to shiny things and things of value and beauty, a large being that takes up space (even with a human body I seemingly fill up the room with just my presence) and an aristocratic air of a proud creature.

From just knowing these two animals you've learned a lot about my character, haven't you? You don't just "settle" on a fursona. You choose it carefully by not only your favorite animal (which bunnies and dragons are my favorites) but also by what qualities of those animals match yours.
