a very furry lunch. :3

Furry Reddit - Mon 4 May 2015 - 11:30

ok so on thursday i had ordered my first pair of ears and tail, and it finally arrived! :D so today i decided to bring it to school. I couldn't wear the tail all day because it was WAAAAAAYYY too big and fluffy, but at lunch today, me and my furry friends thought it would be a good idea to dress me up in the full ensamble. i strapped on the tail and ears and was parading around the lunch table in my full foxy glory. :3 as i was doing this, some other person from across the lunch room comes over and asks to pet my ears. then a bunch of people started coming around and asking me questions about furries. i was pretty surprised actually by how many people had so many genuine questions about furries. so, long story short, i made a bunch of new furry friends, and really no haters. :D it made me happy and now i am sitting in class wearing ears.

All these artists!

Furry Reddit - Mon 4 May 2015 - 11:09

And I just sit here, twiddling my thumbs as I stare ahead at all those pictures. DAMNIT I WISH I HAD THE ABILITY TO DRAW DECENTLY. >:V

Kind of is interesting to see so many artists, admittedly. It's nice, especially when you see the ones helping people out with art, or perhaps even give them their first art piece. Just like to say the community is mighty nice, and I hope this continues.

Exchanging Fluids on PBS: Your eyes will bug out at this WTF furry video from 1992!

Dogpatch Press - Mon 4 May 2015 - 10:44
It wasn’t a science show. It wasn’t mating season on Wild America (the naughtiest stuff PBS usually aired.)  This is something more exceptionally special. The video starts with happy old ladies in pastel sweatshirts, volunteering for a fundraiser.  It just screams vintage 1980’s and early 90’s. It’s a sight that reminds me of church telethons, pancake brunches, and satirically-cast actors from John Waters‘ Baltimore. […]

Project Nakti - A community built anthro universe

Furry Reddit - Mon 4 May 2015 - 10:20

Hello everybody! I'm looking for other anthro artists, writers, animators and other kinds of creative people for what I like to call "a global community project".

But what is this project? It's a furry fantasy universe called "Planet Nakti".

Planet Nakti has the ambition to become the first furry universe that is developed entirely by the community. It mustn't be made only by one person, but with the contribution of everybody, with their ideas, skills and creativity, it could become a truly awesome project.

Nakti can be expanded with artworks, stories, animations, poems, games, roleplay and whatever you have in mind. You can create a Naktian character, a race, or a civilization with its traditions, customs, religions, history and many other things. There is total freedom in the development, only a few guidelines are required to be followed in order to not make the Naktian project into a carbon-copy of planet Earth or avoid copyright infringement (using characters from existing franchises and trademarked franchises is strictly forbidden! By the Gods be original!)

The most particular aspect of planet Nakti, is that it's a young planet, so its civilizations have a very early grade of technological development. They basically live in the same way we Earthlings lived during the age of the Ancient Egyptians or the Sumerians, so their technology is quite limited, and they don't have magic, because the characteristic of Nakti is that it's imbued with realism in mind, making it something that can really exist in another solar system.

Myself, I'm working on one of the Naktian countries, the Island Nysdra, located in the south-west of Nakti.

So, I'm looking for other artists who can join me and my friends who are already working on it, in this creative adventure, with the hope to unite all the anthros of the world together and making something that can really be considered a truly global effort.

If you are interested to join the project, please feel free to drop me a note. I look forward to answer all your questions. :3

Project I've been working on for some positive publicility

Furry Reddit - Mon 4 May 2015 - 10:01

For the past week I've been putting this project together with help from /u/Antnommer and another friend of mine to help show people the truth behind our furry fandom. A lot of people think they know a lot about us, but I'm sure we've all dealt with misinformation and such before. Hopefully this will help people see what furries really are. If anyone wants to share/link/spread the word however you want to help get it out to more people, feel free to do so. :3

Where are you?

Furry Reddit - Mon 4 May 2015 - 08:25

People keep posting threads asking if anyone's near them. Why don't we all just say where we are, and see who's near each other? Instead of a thousand different threads.

I'm currently at Lafayette College (Easton, PA), but will return to a cat-filled house in Blue Bell, PA, after I finish my summer job (doing computer vision research with a professor).

(I assume no liability in the case of radical anti-furry extremists using this thread to find the optimal target for their nuclear attack.)
