Painted Pets

In-Fur-Nation - Mon 4 May 2015 - 01:46

Laura Seeley is a classical fine artist… one who specializes in animal paintings. What’s more she’s even illustrated several books for children — Originally for various authors, but more recently for works she’s written herself. With galleries on her web site having names like “The Magic Cats”, “The Whimsy Cats”, and “A Cat Never Tells”, you can see where she’s coming from… though she does draw plenty of dogs and even whales, too! According to her web site, Best Friends Art Gallery, she plans on having pictures from her book projects up very soon.

Created my first sona - Fern says Hi!

She is a maned wolf/werewolf/muntjac (I'm not really sure how to describe this!). I'm not thrilled by female secondary sex characteristics so I gave her some technically male ones instead.

I'm still exploring this furry thing, but one thing I do know is that I love looking at and making this kind of art. There are so many cool fursonas out there that can provide a challenge for me to draw; and the degree of appreciation for this kind of art is encouraging to me.

I am a cynical, bitter, judgemental person.

I feel as if this sets me about a stone's throw away from this fandom.

Question bout sonas

Furry Reddit - Sun 3 May 2015 - 21:43

Is it bad if I keep changing my sona? Ive changed about 3 times now, and I'm sorta contemplating another change. I keep discovering new facets of my personality and keep finding new species that apply to my traits. I think, THINK, that I've settled on a wolf now, but that's after being a bunny, a cat, a fox, and a shark (in that order). I feel like a wolf could encompass eveything I consider myself to be, and eveything I identify with. I guess I'm really just worried about confusing other people. Like my friends have seen me go through my sonas, and I suspect they're just expecting me to keep changing it at this point. So if I do officially settle on a wolf, they might be like "oh, it's just his latest thing. He'll be calling himself something else in a few days." so yeah, any input or advice? Anyone go through a similar thing?

How do fursuit owners wash their fursuits?

Furry Reddit - Sun 3 May 2015 - 19:53

No idea if those things are remotely washable or dry cleanable.
