An old friend of mine told me about this being something that exists in the world, and from what I hear it sounds like a cool idea.

He is a furry, and I just want to say this is all super cool and I love that so many of you found something that made you happy.

I just began writing my story about a few days ago and am so far proud of work. I was just wondering if anyone might have any tips for me for down the road.

So, like many things, I really don't know the true reasons I'm a furry. This is just some hypothesisation about myself, I guess... There's a bunch of things that appeal to me. For one, there's the purely physical aspect. They can be anything. People are very limited in what they can be. Their size, shape, colors, etc, are all limited. But anthros are different. They have so many features- fur patterns, colors, shapes of ears and tails, just countless things- that make them infinitely unique.. Another physical aspect: anthros are perfect. People have deformities, all of us. I hate my skin, my hair, my cloths. My boyfriend hates his stubble. Any human drawing is a lie, because they can't be perfect and human. They mock us. But anthros aren't supposed to be human, they symbolize what we want to become. So their perfection can be honest... There are far more aspects than just the physical, of course. For example, the animalistic nature of them. They aren't human, and so, as I've explained, they can be pure. There aren't any standard or norms of society or personal flaws that can influence them. They can be emotionally, mentally, spiritually perfect. They can embody ideas of what we wish to see in ourselves... That ties back into the physical uniqueness, I think. The fact that they are the infinite representations of what we aspire to be. They aren't just mirror images, that's what photographs are for. No, in this art, we can break our humanity, break away from ourselves, and become something better. We can be our best selves... And, I think, that's why I like this art.
