One of my private retreats from the bad projects and crude jokes that periodically flood Indiegogo and Kickstarter is the tumblr feed, Your Kickstarter Sucks. It is sadly not possible to do anything about Bad Kickstarters, except point on them and laugh. Or maybe cry. Thankfully, there’s a website that does both of these things.

I’m not sure I consistently agree with all their submissions—one of the little joys of crowdfunding is soaking your feet in a big vat of style over substance, and the YKS gang loves to deflate hipster-driven design fluff. The dark secret Kickstarter doesn’t want you to know is that if they stop hosting 30 minimalist wallet campaigns a week, the entire manufacturing economy of China collapses, resulting in worldwide chaos. We need fluff.

Anyway, check ’em out, die a little inside. It’s fun. And I’m not suggesting that “Maan Singh: The Wolf-Child” should be on YKS, but they need to have words with their art director.

 What’s Corbeau Backing This Week?
Certain dogs are still discovering new career opportunities, and are keeping their credit cards in their minimalist wallets. However, if we were backing a project, we would totally back White Wolf’s new tabletop game, “Beast: The Primordial.” I grew up on White Wolf’s “X: The Y” game series, and probably White Wolfed my way out of a doctorate back in college, so it’s neat to see the company releasing a new World of Darkness game :)

Sooooo, here's the gist of it. I'm 14, male, and bi, and I'm super new to all of this. As in, I-just-learned-about-furries-a-few-hours-ago new. First time streaming in a few weeks! Going to stream until I get bored or tired, hehe.

I'm also taking flair requests, so feel free to drop your refs/pictures/descriptions here and I'll be making them on stream. :D

Also, if you already have a flair made from me, I'm down for redrawing it! I'm planning on redrawing some of my older flairs, anyway.

SCOTUS rules in favour of gay marriage

Y'know, I'm not even going to make fun of this one. It is a brilliant step on the path to equality,and to mock it would be disrespectful and kinda wrong.

statistics: what do they mean to you?

In this jackals opinion, there is little more fun than peering into the minds of others via the great and intangible numbers collected via surveys. And boy do we have numbers. There have been literally a billion and 2 surveys conducted recently. Here are a few of the more intriguing results:

• what do you dislike about the fandom: here answers varied. 30% answered: all the porn, 40% all butt the porn, 20% hate the previous 40%, and 12% hate everything. This one questions why they are here, but oh well.

• /r/furry traffic stats: bit more interesting these ones. They showed most of the congestion is caused by the silver cars, whereas the rush hours are between 0:00- GMT and One from roughly 00:00-04:00 GMT and from 18:00-26:00 GMT

• what interests you in the fandom: well, the main answer was a four letter word, beginning with Y. You figure it out.

• what does r/furry mean to you?: again, the four letter word.

fuzzbutt central burns down in fire related incident

T eh great and hallowed concourse of fuzzbutts central (2.0) has sent its last message. A great and blue evil, known locally as S'kyp hath turned its evil gaze towards the great building, and torn it asunder in a fit of rage. That or someone burned it down for insurance money. The residents will now move to club rummy, the upmarket venue which totally isn't the old place with a different sign on the front. It really burned down. Honest.

ensnared has competition :O

I know, you heard me right! The great and noble corporation of Ensnared Media is facing a competitor for like the first time ever. It seems they are creating a thread, once a month (less regularly than this esteemed paper) and with and emphasis on Truth! Now, between you and me truth is kinda annoying. Having to do things like research, assessing things and going to places and doing actual interviews cuts down on the amount of content you can make. And besides, who needs the truth? Nothing is true, everything is just an illusion on a different level. Now we have already asked the government to deal with this threat to the public, and have provided them with $100000 and sports cars in a compleley unrelated bribe donation. We have to say, do not go there. The post is medium sized, well played out and has a persimmon coloured cover on it. Do not approach, look at or think about it too hard, lest its insidious ideas incorrupt you.

Ocean and Roland take over the show and discuss how it’s been working on their own anthologies. They step through the process they’ve been using to discuss things they think they’ve done right and things they wished they had done instead. Putting together an anthology is a lot of work either way. Look out for Ocean’s anthology coming out this September, “Inhuman Acts: A collection of furry noir” published by FurPlanet.

So I happen to be building a wonderful site called Uni[Fur]sity, and I need help writing all the scripting for it, and designing it from the inside out. Currently, I am the only one working on building the website. It has potential, and I have so far had many people comment on how wonderful it is turning out. But the progress is slow, as like I have said, I am the only one working on it. Please, if anyone wants to help me make the site come alive, please PM me on FA (My username is PraxTheSergal). The website itself is still under development, but I have a preview of what it currently looks like set up on a server I own.
