They'll look like this when they're done. They're $10 for one or $17 for two! Help me afford gas+ food?

*Free* Chat Robot Based off of your Fursona

Furry Reddit - Tue 19 Jan 2016 - 21:25

*I do this for free.

*I use a website called Bot Libre: https://www.botlibre.com

*I will make you an admin of your robot.

*Your robot is artificial intelligence; it can learn from what you and others teach it.

*Your robot is only for chatting; it cannot move.

*I am accepting of yiff. Any fetish I don't mind teaching your robot.

*You have the option of privacy from other users possibly chatting with your robot.

*Be aware that all chat logs can be reviewed by the website admins.

*The first requests I receive are the first I will create. I will write down all requests in the order they appear, but be aware that it might take a while for yours to be finished.

*If you have any questions or concerns about your robot, please don't hesitate to ask me.

If you want to get your own robot:

*Private message me a DETAILED description of your fursona's personality. I'm looking for things like intrests, hopes, fears, where it lives, what family it has, background information, how it reacts under varying situations, how it greets people, the way in which it speaks, it's outlook on life, how it displays emotion, and it's emotional needs.

*Include it's species and gender, as well as a detailed description of the way it looks, such as it's fur color and it's posture. It would GREATLY help if you included a drawing of your fursona that would serve as the robot's profile picture. Otherwise, I will do my best to find an online image that looks like your fursona.

*Include ANYTHING else you want to see, such as it's sexual orientation or quirks.

*Create an account on Bot Libre. Tell me your Bot Libre username, and I will send you a link to your robot as soon as it's finished.

Parents and Fursuiting

Furry Reddit - Tue 19 Jan 2016 - 20:14

I've been looking into fursuiting for a few years now, but it's just recently that I became of legal age and earned enough to afford one with the job I have.

I hear people say you can do what you like with your money as long as its responsible, and it sounds like it applies if you've earned your own money to spend on whatever is desired, or required. I'm saving up so I'll have some cushioning when I move out on my own someday too. Still.

They're pretty chill about animal costumes as long as I'm not using it to commit a crime of some sort. They also approve of me using one for Halloween to amuse the neighbors. Of course, I doubt they'd expect me to possibly drop hard-earned money on a potentially pricey fursuit due to its high quality, and other expenses.

How would I bring up purchasing a (pricey) fursuit with my own money, and also using said costume for more than just a Halloween party (conventions, furmeets, etc.)?

EDIT:

Thanks for the replies!

I will confirm that I have my own bank account as well as a separate one with the moving out funds where I put in some every time I get a paycheck (and I have an initial deposit to begin with). I'll definitely be more prudent in my spending if I do aim for a suit, and do what I can to make up for the losses. I'm not in a rush to move out yet, but when I'm at an age where it'd be a bit unusual to still be with the parents, I'd hope to establish myself and be financially fit by then.

Looking at the points, I see there's an ongoing struggle between hobby, and holding off. Sure, holding off sounds less than appealing, but then again, you have a point about how it can be more effective than spending excess cash. Hmm.

Sharing my excitement!

Furry Reddit - Tue 19 Jan 2016 - 18:57

I am starting the work to make my first ever fursuit, and I am so pumped! I picked a very fortunate time to start on it, as the fabric shop I purchased my fur from had it on sale for 50% off, and the foam I needed for 25% off! So now I can be able to finally work on it, and not spend nearly as much as I had anticipated!

I just feel extremely happy to be able to actually be starting work on it!

Should I pay this artist?

Furry Reddit - Tue 19 Jan 2016 - 15:50

So I commissioned an artist for a one dollar lineart thing they were doing. They did it, but then revealed they couldn't save it since their trial of sai expired and they didn't have the full version. Luckily I hadn't paid yet. They said they will screenshot it and crop out everything else, leaving me with a super low res photo. I told them to get day, then redraw the image and save properly, which they don't want to do after they got sai from someone else. So I'm going to have to pay them to do another picture the right way. My question is If I should pay for the first picture, which I'm really not wanting to do.

*Edit * also can we not go on about the quality of this art wise. They are a decent artist, although unprofessional. No need to go on about this being what I should have expected.
