The Horse Returns

In-Fur-Nation - Wed 23 Oct 2013 - 23:12

Neil the Horse was a funny animal comic strip written and illustrated by Katherine Collins, starting in the late 1970′s. Throughout the 1980′s it was one of the most popular funny anthropomorphic comic books going, adored by classic funny animal fans and underground comic aficionados alike. Equally a tribute to old fashioned comic books, classic Hollywood musicals, and children’s books, Neil and his friends largely disappeared after the 1990′s. Now Hermes Press have announced that the dancing equine’s comic book adventures will finally be re-released in Neil the Horse: The Complete Comics Stories. Collecting Neil issues 1 – 15 and featuring a historical essay by Trina Robbins (a comic book legend in her own right), this hardcover collection will ship this coming December — but Amazon is taking orders now.

Killer Instinct's Training Mode Detailed

Gaming Furever - Furry Game News - Wed 23 Oct 2013 - 15:55

Killer Instinct's training mode is turning out to be something to behold. Double Helix is going all-out with the usual things seen in training modes, with an AI that fights back, the ability to test out new moves, and button combos. One of the kickers here is that KI will allow you to make hitboxes visible, along with frame data. Frame data will allow you to see the start up, active, and recovery frames for each action.

In addition, KI will have a new difficulty mode called "Kyle" mode. This mode is named after one of the game's devs who is apparently a god of the game. There's also a difficulty setting that allows the AI to automatically perform combo breakers against any attack you do.

For more details on Killer Instinct's many training mode settings and options, head on over to EventHub, who has an exclusive look at the game.

Teaching Wuffles to speak

Furry Reddit - Wed 23 Oct 2013 - 12:50

I thought i'd share this with everyone here as it is pretty awesome!

So you might recall a while back I posted pictures of my new suit, well I now have the puppy and we took him down the beach. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nv908ktlqdnssrz/20130922_150423.jpg

One of the kids asked if he could speak.

This got me thinking, can I get a fursuit to actually "speak", I'm pretty into techgeek so looked around with my good friend (and housepuppy) Madison.

I found www.hauntbox.net and Madison was super amazing and hooked up a battery pack, speaker and trigger button https://www.dropbox.com/s/fj8q2mvx9rrtx0l/boad%20assembly.jpg

It was rather nerve racking testing it https://www.dropbox.com/s/bg6k1vjxuj61yua/20131020_171835.mp4 here it's got sample explosion effects to test the button event.

But we managed to get it fitted into the suit; https://www.dropbox.com/s/haz2uqxk6zpb1y2/20131020_222900.mp4

But i'm glad to say that after some perseverance and Madison's hard work... https://www.dropbox.com/s/yiks126zn2w3uly/2013%2B-%2B1.MOV

Wuffles can speak!
