I am looking for some older artists who were popular in the mid 90s. One was called either Coyote or Werewolf. He drew alot of male on male wolves and human females with coyotes. he was interviewed on a tv show about furries about ten years ago. I dont remember the name of that tv special either.

The other artist went by the name of Aaron (on vcl). his artwork consisted of goblins, faeries, and short elven women with non-anthro horses. Very hetero. i managed to refind some of his work but the signature was unreadably.

What happened?

This past weekend, Gaming Furever was attacked. Because of this, we have decided to do a clean wipe of our website files. We've been recovering and restoring the data that we do have (which is everything up until right before we went down) but wanted to make sure the problem was completely eradicated as soon as possible. That's why there was very short notice.

As a reassurance, no personal data was compromised. All passwords are encrypted and protected. It was a simple case of adding in a script file that used our email sending method in a corrupt way.

To prevent this from happening again, we have been installing fresh, updated, secured versions of the software we use to run our site. The upside of this is that we have a cleaner, more functional system running everything. The downside is that not everything we had runs on this new software. We also want to do everything we can to prevent this from happening again, so we have removed outdated and vulnerable code and programs from GF. It will take us a few days to get all the kinks out and everything running smoothly, but we promise it will be! 

So now what?

Well, our staff has decided that this is as good a time as any to take a step back and do a full evaluation on how our site looks, what we focus on, and what we provide to all of you. With that said, we would absolutely love to hear from anyone who has thoughts on what they want from GF, what they think we do best, and any other specific comments you might have. We've set up a little survey that you can take to let us know whatever you want. We want to be the very best, like no one ever was, so please don't hesitate to say as much (or as little!) as you want.

Hello Hello.

Where should I begin? (At the beginning! Har har har I just annoyed myself)

So I have been interested in getting involved with the fandom for many years. I didn't due to various reasons but I have decided to throw caution to the wind and embrace it!

First of all, I feel a bit old posting here. 29 years old and from what I have seen the fandom is mostly of younger people.

Secondly, how on earth did you choose your fursona? I have it narrowed down to three, (bat, deer or jackalope) and it's hard to pick just one!

Third, everyone here is an amazing artist! I don't think I could draw a stick figure without messing something up about it but it seems like art is a very central theme in the community.

Fourth, how do I meet other furries?

Furfunding Week in Review 2-3-14

This week’s illustration is from the kickstarter for Kombat Kittens by Large Animal Games

First, a moment of silence for Antilia,the furry MMORPG with a promising launch and whimper of an ending. What makes a project succeed or fail? This one seemed to have LOTS on the ball–strong visuals, the product well in development. Was it a victim of the commercial nature of crowdfunding at the large-project level? A glut of product in the Indie gaming industry or MMORPG product space? Too niche?

On the tabletop front, though, several new projects. I’m excited–again–by Terrene Odyssey, which had a strong launch but is now in the mid-campaign oceanic abyss that is the Kickstarter lifecycle. Here’s hoping for a few surges, the goal’s not distant, but one does not simply walk into…uh…successful funding.

A little microcallout for Fursday, a new curated furry news blog with hand-picked articles, and excellent taste in contributing writers. Good luck! According to an article in Variety magazine, Disney Animation has given the green light to produce a live action Chip and Dale movie. Yes. What’s more, the film’s plot is an origin story for the Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. This means we get to see not only Chip and Dale but Monterey Jack, Gadget Hackwrench, and the fly known as Zipper all portrayed as CGI characters in the real world, a la The Smurfs or the recent spate of Alvin and the Chipmunks movies. The film is being written and directed by Paul Rugan, previously best known as a director of TV commercials. No word yet on a planned release date or any cast members.
