Recently comic book writer and artist Simon Roy has made quite a name for himself with his science fiction series Prophet. Before that though, he was known for his shorter works — seven of which have now been collected in Jan’s Atomic Heart and Other Stories, coming late this March in trade paperback from Image Comics. In stories like “Jan’s Atomic Heart” and “Shipwrecked with Dan the Gorilla,”, Roy often shows humans interacting with aliens and other species in a very slice-of-life and social way. Looks like I might be in the market for a fullsuit here soon! I was just wondering if any of you had any tips for makers or any premades that you know of for sale.

I'm looking mainly for makers who do artistic liberty fullsuits, since my budget is a bit on the low side for a fullsuit (~$2k) and I don't have any specific character I'd like to have made custom. I'd prefer something semi-realistic, but super cute toony suits are good as well. Anything along those lines that is a premade would be good too, especially if they'd do a custom bodysuit.

Any tips on makers or leads on a premade, anyone?

Just thought about you guys as I settled down for an hour or two before bed, thought maybe someone has interesting record stories/finds/gear.

I just got into vinyl last Christmas, and since I can't find 1/1000 of the electronic I listen to on vinyl, I sorta have to find a new genre to get into. Got a mix of indie/pop rock-subgenre artists to start off with (say National and Modest Mouse, then Black Keys and 30STM), plus some older stuff from my dad's family's collection (bands like Alpha, The Knack, The Police) plus some good old rock (Black Sabbath, LZ). Obvious themes here. Also, the setup. Got the Foo Fighters debut playing now...

Thesis film from animator Chang Dai that he finished in 2011.

Technological Threat is a 5-minute animated film made by Brian Jennings and Bill Kroyer in 1988. It was an example of early computer animation, integrated with traditional animation, and is itself an allegory for the threat computer animation represented to traditional animators. The robots and backgrounds were drawn based on computer-generated 3D models, while the dogs were drawn by hand.

Ilona is a nine-year-old girl who lives in the wilderness with her mother and father. Food is running low, and when a mysterious fox starts killing their livestock, she has no choice but to track down the strange creature in order to ensure the survival of her family.

On a cliff-side off the coast of Ireland, a shepherd steers his sheep from the incoming storm where Death is there to greet him. A huge lightning bolt strikes the shepherd and the jig dance of the Dead conducts the soul of the shepherd toward a psychedelic afterlife.

A fox tale is a short movie made by 4 students in 2011 at the french school Supinfocom Arles.  Main softwares used 3dsmax, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
