Furry Reddit - Wed 26 Feb 2014 - 00:52

I've recently realized that I am definitely a furry, and I am really interested in meeting and talking to other furries, either through PMs on reddit or through kik. I don't know what else to really say other than if you'd like to, PM me and maybe we can be friends. :)

To date furry, or not to date furry?

Furry Reddit - Tue 25 Feb 2014 - 23:01

So as the title suggests, I was curious about people's opinions about who they date. Can you only date someone if they are a fur, or does it just not matter to you that much?

What to do?(profanity)

Furry Reddit - Tue 25 Feb 2014 - 18:28

I have a problem. and its the fact that im in love with a nice girl, who is in turn in love with me and we are happy together. the problem becomes present when we both are furries and enjoy the fandom and all those sorts of things. she has an awesome mom who doesn't care what she does as long as its within reason and doesn't do drugs or gets pregnant. i like her. however, my mom is kind of a close minded bitch when it comes to new lifestyles and really flipped when i started chewing tobacco. and when she found out that my GF like to wear tails and ears i had to put that side away when i was at home or anywhere i might run into people that know my family. i live in a tiny town of 3000 and everybody almost knows each other. im 19 and am thinking of moving after college. but when i move idk if i should still keep it a secret from my parents or just dump it on them and be all f'k you this is who i am. i already have an idea, just wanting advise. thank everyone. P.S.: sorry for any and all errors, this is my first every post, tips on better posting are welcomed as well but not as much as advise.

Nic.xyz: The Next Generation of the Internet is Here

DailyFurBlog - Tue 25 Feb 2014 - 18:18

How’s it going, #GenXYZ?

We’re doing fantastic, by the way. We just made history by launching the first ever .xyz website to ever hit the internet. See for yourself at nic.xyz. The new-and-improved site has the same familiar look you all love, but we’ve added some awesome new design elements to make browsing more fun and interactive. Our highly-anticipated launch dates are now front and center on the homepage, and we’ve made it even easier to learn all about .xyz, read our featured press, and access our most important files.

In case you’re wondering how this is all possible, it’s because ICANN delegated .xyz to us on February 19th. Pretty cool, huh? And this is just the beginning. On March 20th, we will be launching our sunrise phase – an exclusive 60-day period that allows brands to get first dibs on their trademarks. Next comes the landrush. Between May 20th-31st, anyone can participate in priority registration to land the .xyz domain name of their dreams. And then…drumroll please…general availability starts on June 1st! That’s right, everyone all over the world will finally be able to register that short, flexible, and memorable .xyz domain they’ve been eyeing at an uber-competitive price.

When you register a .xyz, you’re getting more than just a domain name – you’re joining Generation XYZ. No matter when you were born, where you live, or what you do on the internet, you are connected with every other #GenXYZer in our global community. We are creating choice, accessibility, and innovation online, and we can’t wait to see all of the amazing new sites that emerge from the next generation of internet users.

We’ve got a ton more exciting news to come, including a bobsled update from our fearless leader, Daniel Negari. Be the first to know by following us on Twitter @XYZ, and don’t forget to tag #GenXYZ on your social media platform of choice.

Anyone ever have this feeling after finishing a book?

Furry Reddit - Tue 25 Feb 2014 - 17:48

So, like 8 or 9 months ago I read Waterways by Kyell Gold, in a PDF sent to me by my first boyfriend, the guy who made me realize I was gay. Now, this book pierced my heart so hard, seeing as Kory lined up with me almost perfectly. Now, upon coming out to my mother, she did not have a problem with me being gay, but I may have let it slip that I was in a long-distance with someone I met online. And she's seen a lot of kids at the shelter she HR's at in horrible situations from meeting people online. Anyway, everything in our relationship seemed to match pace as I read the novel. My mom taking all communication away from us, to our relationship straining. Anyways, we broke up, but this book... this book, it almost haunts me, but beautifully. Every time I see it's cover, my heart races like I'm having a panic attack, but I'm not. It's a mix of soooo many emotions, nostalgia, and literally becoming attached to the characters like they were my friends. And once I finished it the first time, I almost felt like I lost something, like I lost those friends.

It's a really odd feeling, very hard to describe in words, hence my wall of text. I know people say the Out of Position series is his best, but I don't even know how football is played, let alone care about the sport (yes I am American). But I don't know. Has anyone felt this way? I still feel it.

A virtual adventure!

Furry Reddit - Tue 25 Feb 2014 - 17:05

Despite the tag, this is a story, not a discussion. But your more than happy to discuss in the comments! :3 Keep in mind that this is a rough cut of the story. There will be mistakes, and I will fix them asap.

Enjoy! -LutraC

There was a young man, who lived down south. He was a very strange man, or so he told himself, because he was tall, but wanted to be short. He lived in a christian home, but was in the closet bi-sexual. He was human, but wished he wasn't. He was happy on the outside, but screaming in pain inside. He was handsome, but thought he was ugly. Over all, he just disliked himself. This young man was named Peter, after the apostle.

Now Peter had turned 18, and was introduced to the furry fandom at 15. Peter now lived in the basement of his parents house, usually browsing the internet (When he wasn't serving at a fancy restaurant). Peter loved to be helpful to people, and got tips when he served couples, and big tips from families and rich couples. He would be lying if he said he didn't like the money, but it came naturally to him to be pleasant.

Anyways, One day, Peter served a group of people, from "Virtual Dream", one of the biggest supports of Oculus, the virtual reality helmet. A young man, early twenties, called for Peter, saying he heard about his remarkable service at the restaurant. Peter approached the table, wearing his white shirt, black vest, black pants, and red bowtie. "Is there anything I can help you with?" Peter asked. The man stood and gave Peter a big hug. "MigrantEye! Game master of Vixenvilla!" Peter was shocked. He hadn't told anyone outside of the internet about his roleplaying game. "How do you know about that?" Peter asked. "Because, sweetheart, I'm your girlfriend! Well, in the roleplay, at least." Peter knew who he was talking about, and that the player was a guy. He didn't know that he was part of virtual dream. "Sit down! I need to talk to you about something. But first, get us a bottle of wine, that'll be swell!" Peter nodded, then got the bottle, and a tray of wine glasses.

As Peter poured the drinks, The man kept talking. "I've been doing research for a game, looking into roleplays for the past 4 years for an idea. Yours seems to be the most intriguing to me, though!" he said with a grin. "A roleplay that does whatever it wants through a virtual reality experience." "Yeah, well... that seemed to be the only way to explain why the players were in Sword Art Online." Peter replied. "Well, I went to your house first to talk to you, but you weren't home. Anyways, time for business." Peter sat down in a chair next to the man. "Okay... whats this about?" Peter asked. "We wanted to hire you, dear boy!" the man said. Peter paused, thinking about how random this was. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name." "Mm!" the man was caught mid drink. "My name is Carlisle." the man replied. "Your probably wondering what you'd be doing. Well, you'd be doing what you do at home. Being the game master of vixen villa. We'd watch the roleplay and turn it into a virtual reality game." Carlisle explained. "You'd also be helping us with the story's and quests and such. Basically, you'd be our writer." Peter thought for a moment. This sounded really weird. Someone out of the blue showing up and offering to turn his roleplay into a video game? "What's the catch?" Peter asked. "Your time and energy. You'd be worked long and hard, but in the end, your roleplay will be one of the best vr games out there." Carlisle replied.

Story will continue in the comments below. Hope you like it!
