Although I've posted a few comments here and there, I'm super new to the fandom, so I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself! :)

Hey guys, I've been drawing furry art for a while now and I've finally reached the point where I'm happy with my art. So to celebrate, I wanna give away some art! Now I'm no professional yet but I really like the feeling when I draw something for someone. Leave a request in the comments and if I like it, I'll draw it. However, I do have my comfort zones. I don't draw gay, herm, watersports, heavy bondage, scat, diaper, cub, etc. I like to keep it fairly vanilla if you know what I mean. I think that about wraps it up. Here's examples of my work. I think just the last one is a good example but whatever! Request away~

Edit: I'm gonna be doing the ones with some sort of reference first since they're easier to tackle down. Don;t fret, I'll try to get to as many people as possible.

So yeah, as the title says, I am writing a furry Novel/short story (possibly more than one). I am going to write/submit it in chapters, 2 or 3 a week, and I need some fursonas to use for characters. Comment below for yours to be in. Will only be taking a few each chapter, and will reply with which chapter yours is in if I use yours.
Summary:
* Writing a short furry story
* Publishing in chapters on gferret.deviantart.com
* Need peoples fursonas for characters
* If you have a preference on what kind of character you'd like your fursona to be, put it in your comment.
* Upon finishing, I will compile into an amazon ebook, which will not be free, however anyone who's fursona is in the book will be given (if I can work out how) a discount code that will give you the book free, or if amazon barfs, a copy of the file in a format of your choice.
* Disclaimer: Your fursona may only have a short cameo and/or may die and/or end up stuck in a matrix. This may cause you disappointment and/or sadness and/or ? I'm sorry if this happens, but I currently have loads of characters in the 'queue' so I might need to kill some off. Whatever happens to your character all of the above still applies.

Edit 2; Thank you everyone for the responses! Though furies still isn't something I find an interest in, I'm sure your community will grow. I'm glad everyone answered in a polite manner and there was no fighting (though I need thought there would be). So thank you for the feedback, and the reason you dress up as animals was opened to me by grayscales_dragon who's answer was short, sweet, and full of fact; Because animals are damn awesome.

And if I had to pick a side, team reptiles, or snakes, or lizards, or turtles, I still don't know that much about furies :P

Edit; I get that people like the community, I'm just wondering why people like about the furies themselves, like the talking animals, that's what I don't get.

First, I'm not a furry, but I'm not judging you, you do what you, it doesn't hurt anybody, I'm fine with it.

I'm just wonder what the appeal is. I've tried to get why people like it, but I honestly can't see why.

Could you please explain the appeal of it? Again, I'm not judging, I just want to know.

Hey, my fursona is male mutt bi and im looking for someone to be a friend, someone I can talk to when I feel down and someone I can help when they are down and maybe do other things furries do :3

I dont mean for this to be a spam post but I dont know where else to post it, PM me for my skype name as this is a throw away account, im interested in anyone of any age and gender to talk to, I just... need someone right now and this community seems really loving and friendly :3
