Furry Mannerisms? (Going to a con)
Hello furs, I've been a furry since middle school (I'm in college now) and I still haven't actually met any other furs in real life. There's a new convention starting this year named Anthro New England which is only a few hours away from where I live, so I figured it would be a good opportunity to go and meet some.
I hope to make some new friends while I'm there, but I also don't want to look like an idiot or an outcast (especially in a group that are already 'outcasts' from most people's perspectives XD )
So my main questions are these: What is it like to go to a con? How do you meet new people? Anything else I should know before I go?

Designer and street artist Philip Lumbang makes some really cute art with his bear character
I made an Australian Shepherd. I think she's super cute, but I have no name for her. Any ideas? (slight NSFW: nudity)
Just out of curiosity...
Why are so many fursonas wolves and foxes and dogs and whatnot?

If we made a product to go on redditmade.com what should it be?
I think we totally should at some point, would be pretty cool.

I can't even think of a title for this....
Good text based character sheet?
I've looked online and can only find stuff for rp characters or book characters. I tried filling one out but, since it's not tailored for fursonas, it came out a bit weird. And the one I found has a whole bunch of rather unnecessary questions to fill out. Can anyone post/link a good furry ref sheet I can fill out?

Looking for a pic!
I remember an artist posting one of their recent works sometime last year, but I can't find it. It was of two female felines on a couch, watching a movie. They weren't wearing any clothes, but it wasn't NSFW because of how the artist drew it. The style was unique, so I wanted to find it again. Can anyone help me out?

So, curious, what do people think of herms and whatnot?
Been curious what people think on herms and how they're protrayed in the fandom.

My new icon! If there's interest I could offer to draw some up for the lovely people here •¥•)?
Thank you to the furry community
I just want to say thanks to you guys sense joining the furry community I've been much more positive mentally, which I know doesn't sound like much but for someone who's thought's normally focus on death and destruction it means a lot. I've also become far more confident and comfortable with sexuality so just thanks.

Genderfluid Furry Wants Tips on How to Explain Herself
I am a natural-born female, but I identify as genderfluid (this means at times I'll feel female but at other times I feel like I'm a male—and should have been born one). This took some time to figure out. Now my question: As a female I'm bisexual, but as a male I'm gay. I'm open to finding a mate of either gender, but I find it a bit difficult to explain to them how I am. Keep in mind my mental gender changes time to time, day to day, but my physical gender will not be changed. How could I explain something like this to them without seeming like a person who can't pick a gender or sexuality?
This took me years to figure out about myself; it’s just explaining it to others because it would be great to find a mate (that, though, is something I'm working on myself =^^=)
Thank you,
Sparkplug the Fox

Dear Sparkplug,
What’s wrong with explaining it to them the way you just explained it to me in this column? Sparkplug, you have spent literally years thinking about this and coming to conclusions about what genderfluid is and what it means to you. That makes you eminently more qualified than Papabear to explain what genderfluid is, and I think you’ve done a fine job of succinctly defining it right here.
Your problem isn’t that you don’t know how to explain genderfluidity (not sure even if that is the right word), it’s getting up the courage to talk about it in front of someone you like and might be interested in as a love interest. And the way to do that is to not apologize for who you are. And if questions are asked about that, explain how you feel honestly and bluntly. If someone can’t or won’t understand who you are, it is their problem, not yours. Never compromise yourself to try to please others for the sake of a relationship, because that will land you in a dishonest relationship.
One glorious day you will run into someone who loves you for you. When that happens, grab onto them and hold tight.
Wishing You Love,
Papabear

Transitioning to a new blog theme, which is a pretty slick theme but like three pay grades higher than my current level of technical and wordpress knowledge. Please stand by as I try and fix my progress. Thanks!
Questions about Fursuits
Hello r/Furry! I am planning to get a fursuit when I go to college in a few years. but I have some questions. How hot does it normally get in suit? What are the differences between partial and fullsuits? If I buy a fullsuit, can I just wear the head/paws/armsleeves as a partial sometimes? What are some ways to keep cool? Is it comfortable? Is the fursuit head heavy or light? Am I asking too many questions yet? Thank you all for your help.

New here
Hello everyone! I've been somewhat curious about furries for a few years, but I initially had several misconceptions about what the fandom is and what its members do. My first "exposure" was due to that infamous CSI episode, which is where most of my misconceptions came from. However, I've run into anthropomorphic art a few times, and I've been reading Housepets! for about a year and a half, so I decided to do a bit more research. The other thing that piqued my interest was this animated music video that my roommate showed me two weeks ago.
I've been reading this subreddit for a little over a week, and the posts here have both informed me and drawn me towards this fandom . So, I've decided that I'd like to be a furry. I've really only talked about this with my roommate, who is a fairly nonjudgmental person. I'm not really used to talking to people online despite having grown up with the Internet, but you guys seem rather friendly.
