Furry history gold – 25 years of conventions. Newsdump (2/5/15)
Recommend me music!
Hey there everyfur! I want to expand my musical tastes, and I need your help! I love genres like metalcore/metal/dubstep/trap/rock etc. Favorite bands include ADTR, Breaking Benjamin, Tool, Seether, Staind, Skrillex, Knife Party, BMTH. If you could recommend me 3 songs each from 3 bands/artists, that would be great! Thanks for the music! :3

Book of the Month: The Furry Future, edited by Fred Patten
February’s Book of the Month, The Furry Future, is edited by FWG associate member Fred Patten and includes stories from several members.
“For the history of the human race we have been locked inside our bodies. Spiritualism, medicine, basic biochemistry and genetic enhancement seek to take us beyond the physical limitations we were born with. The Furry Future is a record of what might become of us once we perfect the methods of reshaping biology.
“Fangs and claws could become just another fashion accessory. We might use our technology to create intelligent and able companions as we spread out to the stars, or else create perfect servants unable to disobey the whims of their masters. We may remake ourselves to attain our future across the galaxy and unlock our spiritual potential, or collapse into war over where the boundaries of humanity lie.
“These nineteen stories take us to these different futures, each one written in the fur we choose to wear.”
Contains the following stories:

Canines to the Rescue — Again!
Squarely in the “It’s about time!” department: Warner Brothers Home Video has announced the release of Road Rovers: The Complete Series on DVD later this month. “Meet ‘Cano-sapien’ the next, heroic step in the evolution of man’s best friend! After the evil General Parvo unleashes Professor Shepherd’s inventions upon the world, mutating dogs into monsters, Professor Shepherd recruits an international team of canines and transdogmafies’ them into super-heroic, humanoid crime-fighters.” That description barely scratches the surface of just how completely odd this popular anthropomorphic cartoon series from the 90’s could get. So head on over to the Warner Brothers web site and check it out. And remember: Don’t be weird boy!
Thanks you guys :D
Thank you everyone of my fellow furry friends and all of you annons out there because all of you furs are very nice and gave me the courage to come out thank you so much :D

Might be going to AC this year, Advice?
,/r/furry, what, as a first-time con-goer or possible dealer should I expect? I want to meet people at the very least, how should I go about that? Anything else? Advice, stories, etc. :)

How would heredity work in a world with anthropomorphic animals?
Would it be like real life, and they would only be able to breed with their own species? If crossbreeds existed, would they be infertile? Would species breed true, and offspring would just inherent one of their parents' species, maybe with traits of the other parent? Or could someone end up being a hybrid of a bunch of species?

Hiya! The username should say it all.
So yea, I'm a... Fuzzy? I don't know if that word has any connotations in the community, but essentially I'm a furry; maybe... I love this community on the outset, and I really want to further immerse myself, but don't really know how/where/if to start. So, since I'm not great at posing questions, I hope to gauge something through some casual chat. AMA, no bars for this dude! :3

TOFF Episode 125 Years of Furry Conventions
The very first Furry Fandom-themed convention, ConFurence 0, took place in January of 1989 in Costa Mesa, California. Twenty-five years later at Further Confusion in San Jose (also California), ConFurence 0 co-directors Mark Merlino and Rod O’Riley hosted a presentation celebrating where Furry conventions have been… by talking about where they came from.

25 Years of Furry ConventionsMy fursona attempt two!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15666486/
Did this one entirely without outside references/lineart. While it may not look as detailed as the last one I did, I really feel like this one captures the vision I had for my sona. Hope you guys like it!
Also I tried drawing it from the front. It was a mess... QQ
