RingtailedFox: Deer on ice saved by helicopter!
Higgs Raccoon: One of many reports about the financial difficulties of the recent Las Pegasus Unicon (MLP:FIM convention).
crossaffliction: I may have enjoyed Ted director Seth MacFarlane as an Oscar host, but not everyone was impressed (these two forgot to mention he also basically called Adele fat). Luckily for them, MacFarlane has said “no way” to future hosting duties.
crossaffliction: Well, the New York Times has run with it, but Hasbro licensed human versions of My Little Pony? Or possibly those are really bad anthro? [Sethisto/EQD]
GreenReaper: Future posts with videos from Vimeo will have images on the Twitter summary.
Higgs Raccoon: Nominations for the 2013 Fandom's Favorite Fursuit Fracas are now open.
Fred: Getting birds to pose for portrait photos.
Fred: Feral walrus craves human attention.
Equivamp: Furry Fiesta ruined this guy's day. :c
GreenReaper: . . . last year. It took him eleven months to complain. The con booked out the hotel this year, so it's unlikely to be an issue.
crossaffliction: Legend of a Kung Fu Rabbit is available to own, exclusively from Wal-Mart! dronon sure loved it when it was just Legend of a Rabbit.
Fred: Animals catching prey - in high speed photography.
Fred: Life or death for 262 endangered species.

crossaffliction: TMNT co-creator Peter Laird on Megan Fox: “ I think it is safe to say that there are probably hundreds of better choices for the role of April O'Neil.”
Fred: What do lab chimpanzees do after they retire?
GreenReaper: Why do rats sniff each other?
RingtailedFox: European pine marten streaks across Swiss soccer pitch, interrupting game! [Yahoo! News/YouTube]
GreenReaper: Scientists grow hybrid human/mouse teeth via kidneys. [Slashdot]
Fred: Will NYC subway rat sterilization work?
Higgs Raccoon: Eric Roberts is A Talking Cat!?!
GreenReaper: Chester Zoo team go hunting for "big, sexy bug or frog" in Nigeria.
Fred: A Talking Cat!?! has lip-sync that might have been acceptable in the 1940s, but today? It's just BAD!
Fred: I respect the serious search for new species, but as for finding "a big, sexy bug or frog", I echo Ward Kimball's comment about being assigned to design a cute cricket for Pinocchio: "THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU CAN MAKE A REAL CRICKET LOOK CUTE! THEY'RE DAMN UGLY BUGS!"
RingtailedFox: Three bear cubs found on side of South Carolina road by volunteer firefighter, in a box!
Sonious: “To be a member of the Furries all you need are some paws and a furry tail.” I wasn't a furry this whole time and didn't even know it? Darn...
GreenReaper: Atlanta Magazine has an interview with FWA founder and director Tiger Paw.
GreenReaper: Ukrainian attack dolphins on the loose.
crossaffliction: Not the furriest thing ever, but animation/furry crossover fans may enjoy Guy Lodge of In Contention’s top ten Studio Ghibli list.
crossaffliction: Appropos of nothing, “Charlie and Sheba,” an animal based selection from the Museum of Bad Art.
Fred: All four-winged birds are extinct. (Too bad.)
Fred: Giant bat-eating spiders. In Indiana!
Patch Packrat: Subverting fandom: When Disney fandom goes corporate.
Patch Packrat: Rediscovering Walt Kelly’s Lost Pogo short.
Fred: Why are over 500 sea lion pups off Southern California starving?
Fred: No snakes in Ireland? Some Irish are releasing pet snakes.
GreenReaper: FurPlanet is opening an eBook store at BadDogBooks.com in July.
crossaffliction: It doesn’t say whether 1 in 4 bronies are furries … also, Applejack is still best pony.

GreenReaper: 'Genetically-isolated' London voles get ladders to help them find new partners.

GreenReaper: Did rat cause Fukushima power outage?
GreenReaper: Squirrels can start fires, too.
Rakuen Growlithe: Man engaged to Twilight Sparkle complains about artist drawing her in sexual situations.
Fred: Making an alligator use a treadmill.
crossaffliction: Well, the MLP:FiM “Friendship Express” DVD will be obsolete on May 14 with a Season 2 DVD announcement.
crossaffliction: Okay, JM; I didn’t say anything when you defended cub porn (admittedly, who doesn’t in this fandom); I didn’t say anything when you publicly endorsed bestiality (admittedly, your stupidity shocked me into silence), but now you compare watching cartoons to eating crap on a furry site and then have the nerve to say, “But I’m not a snob!” Guess you’d know about crap, huh?
GreenReaper: Wild Germany: Furry & Fetisch is out, starring arctic fox Zion and tiger-keeper MaleLion. (It's not as bad as the title/trailer suggest.)
Patch Packrat: The documentary about bronies is here. [Cartoon Brew]
Fred: If science does recreate the extinct passenger pigeon, then what? Do we want massive clouds of them darkening the skies today?
Fred: The Cartoon Brew says that The Croods grossed $43,600,000 in its first week of release domestically, and an additional $12,900,000 in Russia on the same weekend. DreamWorks’ animated features are consistently big hits in Russia.
crossaffliction: The Croods was a definite step up from Rise of the Guardians, though not furry enough for a review. Furries might enjoy the bits near the end involving the sabre-tooth tiger ... ish thing. Not as good as the best of recent DreamWorks pictures, story-wise (animation is top notch as always), but still recommended.
Higgs Raccoon: PC port of Dust: An Elysian Tail may be out as early as April.
GreenReaper: Colorado's black bears getting bolder.
Fred: Are you needed to adopt a sea lion pup?
dronon: A Talking Cat!?! is The Room of anthropomorphic animal movies.
Patch Packrat: Sexy Cadbury caramel bunny.
GreenReaper: Starving, flea-bitten sea-lion pups washing up on Californian coastline.
GreenReaper: If you liked Little Face Mitt (Wiki), you'll love Little Face Fursuits. [Miles]
crossaffliction: Hey, season 1 of MLP:FiM is available on Blu-Ray, now! I mean, who wouldn’t go through the hassle of exporting from Germany a high definition edition of a Flash animation featuring characters who have approximately five more lines, maybe, on average than Hello Kitty? Isn’t that what hi-def is for?
Fred: Abuja, Nigeria has a Pinky and the Brain Day Care, Nursery and Primary School. The Cartoon Brew shows the school’s webpage “which is almost certainly unauthorized by Warner Bros.” It also quotes the lyrics of the school song, which praises Pinky, the Brain, and God, in that order.
crossaffliction: With G.I. Joe 2: Whatever, When’s the Pony Movie Coming Out, Hasbro? hitting theaters this weekend, RottenTomatoes compares toy movie franchises. Now you can find out what critics thought of such furry masterpieces as Pound Puppies and the Legend of Big Paw, The Care Bears Movie and, of course, My Little Pony: The Movie.
crossaffliction: Another furry Wal-Mart exclusive, Adventures in Zambezia. I’ll put up a review sometime.
