Furs with Steam

Furry Reddit - Fri 22 May 2015 - 15:33

I decided might as well be a good time to get some regulars of the furry reddit on my friends list on Steam. If any of you got one, feel free to add me here. I mainly play CS:GO and GTA V.

This thread can serve as a "meet new people" thread on Steam if you so wish, I guess.

I want to thank the community of /r/furry.

Furry Reddit - Fri 22 May 2015 - 14:04

For being so friendly and welcoming. So far I have been a part of the fandom for almost 3 weeks now and have enjoyed every moment of it. I have been showed nothing but kindness since i started, I've gotten better understandings of the fandom, and the community is just a wonderful presence. I couldn't help myself, but I just had to thank you guys and gals for such a great time so far and I'm so happy to be a part of this community.

Webcomic Spotlight: Van Weasel sings the Songs of the Outcasts

Marfed - Furry Comics - Fri 22 May 2015 - 13:55
When I wrote my first webcomics spotlight I featured two original anthropomorphic comics, however I eventually switched out one of them at the last minute for another comic. This spotlight hasn’t been featured on a website anywhere as at the time I was just getting back into writing and was hesitant to feature something that is a little more sexualy explicit then people might have ready for on bleedingcool. Consider that fair warning that the comics tumblr is very NSFW! Song of the Outcasts by Van Weasel Song of the Outcasts is a comic that stood out to me for both it’s treatment of anthropomorphism as well as it’s unique art style. Van Weasel presents a world in which a small portion of anthropomorphic citizens live among regular humans, referred to as ‘altered’. Once fashionable but now outlawed and shunned, it shows them eking out a meagre living on the fringes of society, presenting a tale of the rash decisions of youth and what happens when the music stops and party ends. The work of American artist Van Weasel who presents their post-humanist science fiction story through the eyes of Solomon, a young man born altered as he navigates life and with weighty themes of persecution, belonging and alienation. I was reminded of Robert Crumbs work in the unapologeticly fluid and grotesque depictions of the characters. Like plasticine models rendered in comic form, presented wrinkles and all. The frank and explicit sex scenes (no, wait! come back!) might not be for everyone but fit with the artwork, giving the whole comic the whole 70’s underground comix vibe. The artist also recently completed the hilarious high concept “Leather High”. It’s about as family friendly and not safe for work as you’d expect a comic called “Leather High” and if you have to ask what it is, it’s probably not for you.tumblr_mnhnwcmshe1qfo7nno1_500

Hello /r/furry! [Part2/3]

Furry Reddit - Fri 22 May 2015 - 12:33

Hello /r/furry! For the second third time. SO I decided to make this thread so that I can both explain and ask about some things.

But first! Link to

My first post [It's deleted]-http://www.reddit.com/r/furry/comments/36rtdd/hello_rfurry/

/u/Arawnn 's post about me - http://www.reddit.com/r/furry/comments/36s20a/we_did_it_rfurry/

My second post - http://www.reddit.com/r/furry/comments/36si07/i_did_it_rfurry/

Most of the backstory(Why I am here) can be found in the first post. The reason why I stayed can be found in both /u/Arawnn 's post and my second post. (Comments, some kind of pissed me off, both made me laugh at the same time)

In the original chalenge I had to have a converstaion with one subreddit. For 20$.

-I'm not „another guy who'd already decided he hated furries and just wanted to be given stuff to justify it“ If I was that guy, I think that mods would have „a talk“ with me first.

Also, I do not hate people who watch sex/porn related furry content. I just dislike that kind of art. Now, there are some things that I found really weird and repulsive. And some people(and me) don't understand that others have a different opinion on certain areas....

And I have some question and I thougth that a thread is better than a comment. (inb4 Controversial question)

-Why do (some) people here think that everyone must like whatever you like.

Explanation- In /u/Arawnn 's post I saw that a lot of people mention that I should not comment about thing I dislike... I don't get it.

-Also, why do you people get so much hate? I mean, I get a part of the reason =„Questionable stuff“ but you people mentioned some very interesting thread titles. But is there a thing that „started it all“? Or is there a steriotype that I am not aware of?

And finally 2 questions based on Personal opinion.

SFW artists/pictures?

And.....Rate me! (Friend asked for it)

Also, thank you for giving me new expierences. I never knew that this thing(the fandom) existed and I must admit, I kind of like it. Oh, yea, almost forgot.

THANK YOU for 20$. :P

EDIT-Feel free to ask me any questions you have.

Is She Too Picky about Finding a Perfect Mate?

Ask Papabear - Fri 22 May 2015 - 12:22
Dear Papa Bear

I feel I have painted myself into a small box, and that I will never meet that man of my dreams. You see I have just realized I am a trans women and I am beginning my transition at the age of 26. However though I have baggage to go along with that. I am also a bigger girl, who's Christian & to top the cake I live with a few disabilities; for example a hearing impairment. But the problem is I'm attractive to bulky guys, bigger boys with d***s between their legs, body hair and facial hair. So my question to you is, am putting myself into a small a box where I won't be able to find anyone? Will I find love?

Sincerely
Transgirl loving bulky bears

* * *

Dear Transgirl,

It is this bear’s ardent belief that there is someone for everyone out there—sometimes more than one. There are currently 7,125,000,000+ people on Earth. I’m sure there is someone out there for you.

That said, do not look for a perfect match of someone who shares all your traits and qualifications. Instead, look for someone who is an accepting person who loves you for you. Now, of course, there are some provisos here. You should be physically attracted to one another, for instance (lots of people like their mates meaty like you and I do :-), but other things can be overlooked. Don’t limit yourself too much. For example, if you find a really great guy but he doesn’t have a beard and is smooth, I wouldn’t dismiss him, if I were you, just because he is not a hirsute man.

A personal example: my mate, Yogi, and I are quite different. He’s nine years my senior, he is not a furry, he is very much into TV and radio broadcasting (not a big interest of mine), and we even have some differences sexually. But we share other things, such as enjoying theatre and movies, talking about politics, sharing values. Most important, he is a caring, loving man who loves me deeply and is there for me when I need him to be (such as with my recent hospital stay).

So, to answer the question: yes, you can find love, and there is someone out there for you. The trick is to not be overly picky, while at the same time finding someone who is good for your life (i.e., is caring and kind to you, supportive, and, above all, respectful of you as a human being). Don’t over-romanticize things with the idea of the “man of my dreams.” Most people’s dreams are outrageously unrealistic. And be open to the possibility that love may enter your life from the most unexpected of angles and when you least anticipate it.

Good luck! Wishing you love!

Papabear

Would love to see more furries on my twitter feed!

Furry Reddit - Fri 22 May 2015 - 12:22

Told one of my sisters I'm a fur last night

Furry Reddit - Fri 22 May 2015 - 11:45

On the way to and from BLFC, it became clear to me that the secrecy was probably worse than actually telling her, and that it was like a black cloud following me to every event. Since she and her fiancé were going to be here last night, I decided to bring them into the inner circle.

I started by telling them I went to a convention for "people who like wearing or looking at a certain type of costume." Of course, they asked what kind of costumes I meant, so I showed them a few pictures of my fursuit. They actually really liked it, so I offered to show it to them. After getting into it and walking downstairs, there was even more interest in it.

Interestingly, they even discussed briefly what characters they would be if they were a part of the fandom, and expressed interest in going to a local furmeet with me at some point. In other words...

One of us. One of us. One of us...

TL;DR: Without mentioning furries specifically, I told her and her fiancé about what I was doing. They actually really liked the idea, and once even briefly discussed what fursonas they would have if they were a part of the fandom. They also told me that attending an event with me in the future was of interest.

“Unbelievably cute:” True-Tail animation series, from Skynamic Studios.

Dogpatch Press - Fri 22 May 2015 - 10:51
Submitted by Fred Patten, Furry’s favorite historian and reviewer. Back in August 2013, Rod O’Riley’s In-Fur-Nation brought us the first news of Skynamic Studios’ “True-Tail” Adobe Flash animation series in preproduction.  “A place where six unruly mercenaries must learn to work together … Or succumb to an ancient dark magic.”  The six are Caleb, a […]
