Hey guys,

There's been a few points this summer where I've been super motivated to draw and thought "hey! Let's give my buds over at /r/furry a couple of sketches!" I get the tablet out, and start writing out the post and then think "Oh damn... I know this is going to get way more requests than I can ever fulfill and I know at least one person is going to leave empty handed and sad..."

So I usually drop the whole topic. I feel like the kid in school who brings in doughnuts and the teacher says that I can't have them if I don't have enough for everyone... But I WANT to have enough for everyone.

There's not really an easy solution behind this simply because I (and many others if past request posts are anything to judge by) either don't have the time, speed, skill, etc. to complete so many requests in a reasonable amount of time.

Do any of you ever get this feeling? And for those who frequently comment on those request posts, how do you feel about this topic?

If you haven’t caught the word, creators Yvon and Christian Tremblay have been running a Kickstarter campaign with the intent of creating the first new SWAT Kats animated TV episodes to be seen in 20 years. Also if you didn’t know: SWAT Kats — The Radical Squadron was one of the most iconic and popular anthropomorphic animated TV series from the early days of organized Furry Fandom. “The series takes place in the fictional metropolis of Megakat City, which is populated entirely by anthropomorphic felines, known as ‘kats’. The titular SWAT Kats are two vigilante pilots who possess a state-of-the-art fighter jet with an array of weaponry. Throughout the series, they face various villains as well as Megakat City’s militarized police force, the Enforcers.” The good news is that with only a few days left for the campaign, the brothers Tremblay have more than surpassed their original goal. They’ve reached enough to animate a 2-minute animation teaser for the new series (SWAT Kats — Revolution), and they’re hoping to make enough to animate a full 22-minute episode. The campaign web site has a video interview with the brothers.

I saw that this was done last year and thought it was a really awesome idea! So a lot of people are going back to school so I figured that some people could share whatever school they may be attending!

Just a general question. I'm thinking of opening possibilities to draw for funding on top of my writing commissions but as far as I believe, my art is average, at best. I have recently noticed that I've gotten lots of praise with my color work and I was thinking of commissions from coloring art.

So I'd like to know if there is a colorist market, as in comics or simple projects. It seemed like a job artists do themselves but it helps to have the option.

attempt at silly title aside, I see a lot of pictures of fursuiters and a lot use bandanas around their necks, and I have noticed it to be incredibly common, so what's the deal with that?
