So I've had an idea for a novel for the last couple of years, pretty much since high school (back then I wasn't even aware of furries) but lately I've been wanting to write it. I think I would be able to incorporate anthro characters into it instead of just all humans. But I'm thinking is it worth It? Does anyone ever read (not primarily yiff) stories on websites like furaffinity, so furry etc?

I've recently I guess shown an interest in this fandom and year everything that comes with it but since it's something new for me I've kept it entirely to myself and haven't told a single person and I am afraid that if I do i may very well lose most of my friends. If this is a possibility should i even say anything about it or is it best to keep it to myself.

Helloooo!

So, the only place I've been meeting fellow furrs is on omegle (under the furry interest). And I think it's safe to say that overall it's been very unsuccessful. The main issue is finding someone that A) Isn't just looking to yiff 24/7 and B) Is close to me.

I was wondering if you knew of any other ways to meet furs who are possibly closer to me?

More than 5,000 people gathered in Chicago for Midwest FurFest 2015, a convention for "furries" – lovers of anthropomorphic cartoon animals, many of whom dress up in life-sized fantasy animal costumes. Members of the furry fandom often create their own "fursona" – an animal character. This avatar allows them to express characteristics quite different from their own personalities. About one in five adopt a fursona of a different gender – around 80% of furries are male.

Conventions like these offer furries and fans of anthropomorphic culture the opportunity to socialise. According to FurFest's website, the convention allowed delegates to "come together to celebrate... art, literature and performance based around anthropomorphic animals". There were lectures and art shows, as well as adults-only private parties for subgroups of the fandom. Attendees raised more than $60,000 for animal charity Save a Vet.

Saturday (12/12) at around noon I want to try to get as many furries as possible into a game of Fibbage 2 since it can be played for free across streams. Would anyone be interested in joining this? Please spread the word.

Ideally I want a full 8 players and at least 100 audience.
