The story follows Judah, a lamb, who is to be sacrificed. His stable mates set out to rescue him.

The published description follows:

The Lion of Judah, a laugh-filled, heart warming story seen through the eyes of a zany cast of stable animals. Take an eye-opening adventure with a lovable pig (Horace), a faint-hearted horse (Monty), a finicky rat (Slink), a rambling rooster (Drake), a motherly cow (Esmay), a downtrodden donkey (Jack) and a heroic lamb (Judah) and you have got a classic in the making.

Upon learning that Judah has been trapped in the clutches of the townspeople and faces the possibility of being the sacrifice at the annual Festival, the stable mates leave their cozy barn and embark on a hilariously funny series of adventures to find and free their friend. During their numerous attempts to find Judah, a wonderful story emerges as they intercept, interact and entwine with history finally seeking out the King, who was born in their stable more than 30 years earlier.

The antics of our unique cast crates a uniquely funny and entertaining epic as it winds its way through numerous side-splitting encounters and historical scenes. The whole family will enjoy the telling of this wonderful story as it delicately combines biblical texture and timing and treats the most impacting events with care and humility. Without a doubt, The Lion of Judah will leave you in awe of the power that one lamb can command.

Dirty Little Secrets: Furries

Furry News Network - Thu 24 Feb 2011 - 13:28

As part of her ongoing column, “Dirty Little Secrets”, Catherine Wong of Humboltd State University’s Student Paper, The LumberJack weighs in on Furries, the subculture and sex.

By Catherine Wong

Photo Editor

Howl, pant, or purr. Furries are people who are interested in anthropomorphic animals, or animals with human characteristics. By escaping humanity, furries see another side of themselves. Furries tend to empathize with the animals they imitate. Some animals are grounded in reality, while others can be a fictional species such as a unicorn or dragon, or a hybrid such as a fox-rabbit or a cat-wolf.

I aim to spend this semester explaining sexual acts and cultures that are thought of as “odd”. One of the biggest misconceptions about furries is that they’re hypersexual people that can only orgasm in an animal suit.

Opening a Furry Minecraft server. Suggestions? Ideas? What would you like to see?

Furry Reddit - Wed 23 Feb 2011 - 12:20

I'm plannig to open a Furry Survival Minecraft server next month and would like some feedback and the favorite playing style by fellow furs that would all be invited to join the server.

Experiences and other ideas are welcome as well :D

Here's what I thought so far so tell me what you think. Just remember that it is supposed to be survival.

1- Deathban I adore playing with deathban since it makes the game much more exciting, scary and a challenge. Also, it allows for a server to be more popular since people occupying the slots will come and go.

(For anyone who doesn't know what Deathban means, it means that you get banned for a few hours (2-3) when you die).

2- PVP on and raiding bases would be allowed.

3- There would be some type of economy.

4- Houses, towns and cities could be built and protected against griefing with diamond-blocks. (see precious stones bukkit plugin)

These are my ideas so far. What would you suggest? What would you change?

Cheers! :3

"Dirty Little Secrets: Furries"

Furries In The Media - Wed 23 Feb 2011 - 07:23
Here is an article, dated February 23, from The Lumberjack, the student newspaper of Humboldt State University (California, U.S.A.)

The article is a very brief one, the opener of a series on "sexual acts and cultures that are thought of as "odd"." The start isn't too bad...

One of the biggest misconceptions about furries is that they're hypersexual people that can only orgasm in an animal suit. The second is that the subculture is somehow linked to bestiality. In reality, the furry culture is not exclusively about sex and, while the acts seem similar, many furries are put off by the idea of sex with an actual animal.

...though I hope that "many" is really "most".

The article goes on to talk about totemism and "furry lifestyle", and defines various words (fursona, furpile, skritching, yiff).

SportyPup reports on health after surgery

Furry News Network - Wed 23 Feb 2011 - 03:01

Here’s the latest on Sporty’s condition – this time, written by him!

You can read his entry on FA and comment to him there: Sporty’s FA Journal

Well it’s been 1 week since the surgery. I figured now would be a good time to give everyone a update. I’m gonna be honest with you all. I feel great! I know I still have a long ways to go before I’m fully recovered, and I know that there still is a chance that my heart won’t strengthen up enough which would mean I would need another surgery, but I’m hoping that’s not the case. I mean,,, I feel sooooo awesome. I haven’t felt this good in 1 1/2 years. I can actually breath now, my chest doesn’t hurt, I have energy, I can feel myself gaining strength everyday, its wonderful. *runs around in excitement*
My next doctors appointment is in a little over a week, so after that we will see if my heart reflects how I’m feeling. Paws crossed. I still can’t thank everyone enough. I love you all so very much. I feel that I have a second chance at life and it’s all thanks to everyone of you. You all are the true meaning of family, and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this family. *hugs you all tightly never letting go*.
Some more good news. I’m only $3600 away from paying the doctor off. Its due in the next 3 weeks, but im not that worried about it. Unfortunately I will still have a massive medical debt to take care of but I can make payments on that as soon as I can get back to work. I don’t think I’ve ever been sooo excited at the thought of being able to work. If all goes well and as planned I should be able to start working again in around 6 weeks. Once again, paws crossed.
Well it’s that time for me to hit the bed. I will most definitely give everyone another update after my doctors appointment and let you all know the news. I leave y’all with a short poem, well not really a poem cause I’m not a poet, more like an expression of how y’all have made me feel.
As the sun slowly falls and colors dance across the skies, moments are made painting timelines, it molds the most beautiful things in life, but still doesn’t compare to the love y’all have inside.
I love you all.

Be Good Family,
FOREVER GRATEFUL sportypup

If you like Talking Cars, try Talking Planes

In-Fur-Nation - Wed 23 Feb 2011 - 02:55

Cartoon Brew recently put up an article letting us know about a new project from Disney’s Movietoon Studios (creators of A Goofy Movie and other works). It’s a new direct-to-DVD CGI called Planes, and it’s all about — you guessed it — anthropomorphic airplanes. Here’s the Press Release from DMS: “Planes will introduce an entirely original and hilarious crew of daredevils from every corner of the globe and draws inspiration from the immensely popular Disney/Pixar’s Cars world. ‘We had such a great time exploring the world of Cars over the course of two films, so it seemed only natural for us to see where our imaginations would take us in a film where planes were the main characters. By expanding the Cars world, Planes gave us a whole new set of fun-filled situations and a great opportunity to introduce some fantastic new characters,’ commented John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer, Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. Planes takes off with an international cast of the fastest air racers around, in a comedy packed with action and adventure starring Dusty, a small town dreamer who longs to enter the most epic around-the-world air race … despite his fear of heights. With the help and support of a fleet of new and hilarious characters, Dusty wings his way into the biggest challenge of his life.” Look for Planes to take off in the spring of 2013.

Congressman Furry? 1st District Oregon?

Furries In The Media - Wed 23 Feb 2011 - 02:17

There a local scandal concerning the mental fitness of David Wu 1st district Oregon. I am in the 1st distinct Oregon. The issue started over resignation of his staffers and erratic behavior during the last campaign. Thanks to a local news story in Willamette Week and a comment tagged Wu being closet a furry.  A local talk radio show host had contacted uncle kage for a comment The Like to his journal is here.

I am from the 1st Congressional district in Oregon. I cannot say I voted for him. I did volunteer for one out of the two credible Republican challengers to Wu. I was a Republican Precinct person. Sadly, most years we had no candidate running. (I sat out 2010 because I was disenchanted poor performance in campaigning and unemployment.) His costume is much ado about nothing.
The Willamette Week story tell a lot

"According to multiple sources, Wu went instead to Ping, a nearby restaurant for lunch. Only after he left Ping did those staffers stage the first “intervention,” an emotional meeting that spanned several hours during which staffers told the congressman they were worried about his health.

With Halloween approaching the Sunday before the Tuesday election, sources now tell WW that campaign aides had advised Wu not to dress in any costume that could potentially embarrass him.

(He was expected to face a close contest.) They worried, too, that a goofy getup could provide fodder for last-minute campaign attacks from Cornilles, Wu’s well-financed Republican opponent. The issue arose after Wu told staffers about a Halloween party he had wanted to attend with family and friends.

What follows here is a series of early-morning email messages from Wu’s BlackBerry to multiple staffers sent on the early hours of Saturday, Oct. 30.

The emails do not offer a definitive account of why Wu’s aides fled the congressman’s office in significant numbers just after his sixth successful re-election campaign. They do reveal that Wu’s staffers apparently had confronted the congressman about his drinking. They also suggest Wu faced accusations of harassment from his employees—and that Wu wasn’t eager to listen to any of the advice. Wu, through a spokesman, wouldn't respond to specific questions about the written content of the emails.

At 1:03 am PST on Saturday, Oct. 30, an email from Wu’s Congressional BlackBerry landed in the inbox of a female staffer. The congressman—who splits his time between Washington, D.C., and Oregon—was then in Portland.

There was no message attached to the email, only a single image. That photo, copied above, showed Wu in a plush tiger suit with orange- and black-striped mittens over his hands, a hood with pointy ears pulled over his head and a white circle split by a zipper stretched over his stomach. A seemingly red-faced Wu is sitting on a bench in what appears to be a bedroom, with his hands held in the air. A spokesman, Erik Dorey, today called the photo a private moment between family members. He further described the photo as "David Wu joshing around with his kids the day before Halloween."

Nineteen minutes later, at 1:22 am PST, a second email from Wu’s official email address went to multiple Wu staffers under the subject line “not funny.”"
