One of my favorite recurring 'furry' dreams...

Furry Reddit - Sat 27 Aug 2011 - 15:22

It starts out with me meeting up with a local furry friend who wants to meet up with even more of our friends , and through a series of crazy events, we end up at an bigger gathering, where it's regular people with their tails and fursuits and such, and we all eventually make our way to a big party club, where there's regular people that run at the sight of all of us showing up because they can't handle such uniqueness (they are all a bunch of hot topic/goth freaks) we realize that the party club has been abandoned and we take over. After I explore the place a little, there's suddenly a strange shift in the atmosphere and everyone in the club, the music in the club dies down, the lights get dark, and then everything kicks back on at once, revealing that everyone that came into the club has shifted to their anthro animal counterpart, and the music's louder, there's heavy thumbing club , drum and bass and some rock music playing, and everyone's just having a damn good time. The party goes on for hours and hours, there's no problems and as the sun starts to come out, it shines down through the skylights and we all start to realize that the party's about to end... as the music dies down the club has a loudspeaker come over that sounds like the 'prepare for landing, welcome back home' stuff you hear in movies that involve NASA and space ships and such...and that's about the point where I start to wake up..

Probably one of my most favorite dreams of all time.

Mighty Hedgehogs not named Sonic

In-Fur-Nation - Sat 27 Aug 2011 - 01:59

The Six Crowns is a brand-new anthropomorphic fantasy novel series. It’s written by Allan Jones, illustrated by Gary Chalk, and published by Greenwillow Books. (In the UK, the series is known as Sundered Lands.) The first book in the series, Trundle’s Quest, introduces us to a humble yet ultimately heroic hedgehog. Here’s the publisher’s description from Amazon: “Trundle doesn’t think he’s an adventurer. He’s a lamplighter. He likes everything safe and cozy, and that’s the way things are in his peaceful part of the Sundered Lands.  Until Esmeralda barrels through his door.  Esmeralda, a princess with a knack for magic and for finding trouble, is convinced that Trundle is the only one who can help her find the six crowns. Lost and scattered long ago, the crowns could unite the Sundered Lands once again. But not if the pirates find them first.  Suddenly, Trundle is on the run. He becomes a stowaway, a drifter, a thief’s accomplice, and a swordsman.Trundle may find that he is a true hero, after all . . . and that this is only the beginning of an epic journey.” Mr. Jones and Mr. Chalk also have a web site dedicated to the series.

This topic proved pretty popular, with five different people writing in to tell us what they like! This episode is all over the place, and several of the cast members crack up on multiple occasions as topics range from Mary Poppins to bubblegum to the Holocaust to Pokemon to…well, you’ll just have to download it and listen. This one defies description, even going so far as to make Kyo do the requisite writhing in the first five minutes!

Our next episode is all about that furriest of all gatherings, the convention. Do you like them? Do you hate them? Which ones do you attend? Do you have questions, misconceptions, worries about them? All three cast members of Fuzzy Logic are experienced in the convention scene to a significant degree, and we’ve got lots of wisdom to share on the topic! Also, don’t forget that we’re here to help you with any issues you may have; if you want our advice, or just to be heard, sticking with the topic is purely optional!

One more thing to note: Our next episode will be recorded on Thursday, September 8th due to the fact that Kyo will be heading out for Mephit Furmeet on the 1st. Don’t panic when you don’t see a post on the 1st!

Skyrim Race Presets for Reptile Argonians, Feline Kahjiits

Gaming Furever - Furry Game News - Thu 25 Aug 2011 - 19:22
kajiit

The highly anticipated Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has 10 races in it, including two races that this fandom would be particularly interested in. The Argonians are a race of anthropomorphic reptiles, with gills on their necks and are covered in scales. Sharp teeth line their mouths. Argonians' tails help when they swim, as they glide underwater like a fish. The Khajiiti race is made up of several subtypes with very distinct appearances. All Khajiit are feline in appearance, placing them among the group known as "beast races" by the human and mer inhabitants of Tamriel.

Today, Character preset renderings were released for all 10 races, but we've decided to just show the Argonians and Kajiit here. For the other 8 races, check out this article.

The Big Bad Wolf — or IS he…?

In-Fur-Nation - Thu 25 Aug 2011 - 01:53

After literally years of struggling to find a publisher for their full-color graphic novel, writer Paul Jenkins and artists Humberto Ramos and Leonardo Olea decided to publish Fairy Quest: Outlaws themselves — and the result premiered at San Diego Comic Con this year. In the land of Fablewood, all the world’s favorite fairy tale characters re-live their famous stories over and over again, like puppets on a string. Then one day, Little Red and Mr. Woof decide they’ve grown tired of being enemies and decide to become friends — a little act of rebellion that turns all of Fablewood onto its ear, and brands these new friends as dangerous outlaws. The web site Comic Book Resources has an interview with Humberto Ramos talking about the Fairy Quest project up on line. It’s envisioned as a four-book series.
