Hey there. I've been a furry since I was 11, I'm 19 now, but I've never really hung out with anyone else who is a furry. I've got plenty of normal friends but none of them is a furry. I'm pretty normal myself actually, I'm not socially inept or awkward or anything, I'm just not sure how to start getting to know other members of the fandom.

How can one start meeting other furries? I don't think I share very many interests with most others. My main interests are my studies, physics and math and logic and the like. I play some video games, but not the kind furries generally play (I don't like MineCraft). I don't live on the internet (anymore).

I know of some local furries but I could never really bond with them because they are really immature. There's a whole meetup group at the college I go to, but they all only care about memes and videogames. I really wish I could find some quality mature furry company. Does it exist?

Sorry if this is out of place, it's just frustrating that furry is a part of me I don't feel like I can express well to my current friends. Any feedback is appreciated.

MTV’s True Life has issued a casting call for furries aged 16-25, and potential cast members are already posting about it. [tip: sohjin]

True Life is is billed as following “unique persons in their everyday situations, and [documenting] the problems and goals they face.” Their most recent episodes were “I’m A Chubby Chaser”, “I Can’t Please My Parents”, “I’m A Sex Offender” and “I Have Diabetes”.

True Life previously covered the fandom in infamous “Sex2k” segment Plushies and Furries.

One casting survey assumes that all furries are fursuiters to some degree, and asks about “adverse effects” that being furry has had on the submitter’s life, who they have told, whether they are dating (and if so, whether they know), and whether anyone has “told you to stop”.

Mass-media coverage is often viewed poorly by fans, but has drawn many to the fandom and led to features like pop video Higher Than The Stars.

Hey, I'm thinking about opening commissions. My FA. Anyway, I was curious about pricing, and payment issues.

How much would be fair, without having me work for almost nothing? I was thinking 10 dollars for line art, and 20 for a full product.

Also, what is the normal method for requesting payment? Do I ask for it all up front, or half now, half when it's done?

Barely a month after retiring his world-famous Bloom County comic strip in 1989, creator Berke Breathed returned with a new Sunday-only full-color strip, Outland. It featured many of the original Bloom County characters, including Bill the Cat and Opus the Penguin, in new adventures. Now IDW Publishing has put together Berke Breathed’s Outland: The Complete Library, a 320-page hardcover collection of all the Outland strips from 1989 through 1995, scanned and reprinted from Berke Breathed’s original artwork. It will also include a collection of very rare Academia Waltz strips, which Berke Breathed began in college before he created Bloom County. Mile High Comics has a detailed write-up on the book, which is coming to stores this May.

Not quite sure what this is but seems there were a pair of harmless spectators at FC12 on a "social photojournalistic assignment" of events in The Bay Area. Pictures with captions for a small audience. Hope the intended delivery was to be "interesting and cute".

I have no skill with drawing so I was wondering if anyone could sketch out my fursona for me? I'm a female clouded leopard/wolf hybrid. I have the body and tail of a wolf but markings of a clouded leopard. I also have feathered wings and pierced ears. I'm not expecting much not even a reply but I would appreciate and kind soul who can do just a quick sketch!

EDIT Your drawings are amazing! Thank you. Ok, I'll see if I can be more descriptive. I am bipedal not feral. My fur is more of a gray than the standard leopard color. More like a wolf. Same with the wings, they are a silver/gray. I have large leopard eyes and overall the body of a wolf. My markings are of a clouded leopard. My ears each have three small hoop earrings. Color of the earrings doesn't really matter to me. My tail is that of a wolf not a leopard. I'd like to think of myself as having large wings. I am a biologist so I can't stand wings that couldn't even support the weight of what they are carrying. I know gray leopards look like snow leopards but in case if there was any confusion clouded leopards have larger bolder spots. I have a messy short thick hair like mane around my face. I'm not sure how to describe it. If you need I can be more descriptive just say where I am lacking I think I got everything covered.
