Kitty Loves Monster Has Great Customer Service

Furry Reddit - Fri 24 Feb 2012 - 21:36

Wanted to share this story here. Although it makes me look like a doofus (probably because I am), it shows how great this company is in working with their customers.

On February 8th, I placed an order with Kitty Loves Monster. The order was shipped on February 9th. A couple of weeks later, I still hadn't received the package. I thought this was odd, since their website suggests shipping usually takes two to three days, so I sent them an email.

The owner of the company emailed me back to tell me that he wasn't sure what had happened and that he'd be shipping out a duplicate of my order with tracking information included. The next day, I got an email that contained the image of the shipping label with the tracking details.

I almost threw up at this point when I realized that I had made an error in the address. The zip code was wrong. Yesterday I sent this email:

Only after reading the address fully written do I realize that the zip code is wrong. It should have been (NUMBERS!). I'm so, so sorry for my error. If you'd like compensation for the second pair of underpants, I'd be more than happy to provide it. I apologize again.

Today, the owner sent this email back to me:

No worries, it happens occasionally. The two most likely results are that A) USPS will eventually return the packages to me in a week or two as undeliverable B) one or both will slowly make their way through the postal system to you. In the mean time, I will send the order out again to the correct address tomorrow. If either of the original packages show up I can give you return instructions.

This is possibly the best customer service I've ever experienced. I'd been sent two of the order due to an error on my part, and he sent out a third for me at no extra charge once I realized what the problem was.

I'm definitely planning on buying from the company again, and I'd encourage everyone else to do so as well!

FurryMUCK is updating its DNS name to ‘furrymuck.com’. The server itself and the IP addresses (both IPv4 and IPv6) are *not* changing; just the DNS name. Sometime before the end of March the old name (muck.furry.com) will be decommissioned.

The new name: furrymuck.com, port 8888 (or 8899 for SSL)

Please see the FM_Status LiveJournal or @fm_status for more information. Thank you!

USA Today names Anthrocon as one of the top 10 reasons to go to Pittsburgh

Furries In The Media - Fri 24 Feb 2012 - 01:28
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/popcandy/post/2012/02/pop-traveler-10-reasons-to-visit-pittsburgh/1#.T0XcwnKXSkT

3. The annual Anthrocon -- Lions, tigers and bears -- oh, my! I'm not referring to the Pittsburgh Zoo but rather the people who feel comfortable enough to dress as their favorite animal characters roaming the streets for Anthrocon.

The annual gathering attracts thousands to Pittsburgh each year. If you plan on visiting Pittsburgh during the convention, chances of finding a hotel are slim, but odds are good that you'll see someone dressed as your favorite cartoon animal walking about.
