Fish Out Of Water just came out on iPhone, iPad and all that. You can be in a league and compete with other leagues and players in your own league with the leaderboards and stuff. You can enter your own league name so I put in "furry" and I'm currently the only player! So if you have this game, it would be cool if you join the furry league and if you don't have the game, it's only $1.00 and it's fun! Hope I see you in the leaderboards for furry league and if you want to invite other players please do! :3

Yes, No, or don't care? Is it even possible?

This is a question very near and dear to my heart and by far the thing I'm most passionate about when it comes to the world of furry.

I know this is a very contentious issue for most furries, but this question has been something plaguing my mind ever since I got involved with furries and the internet, and how furries are represented has become more and more increasingly more important to me.

I daresay its my calling.

I'm a furry of about 3 years, I can't draw very well, I can write but I've been very busy lately, my GF is a DJ and a furry from the states. I've been to a furry camp in Canada and furries are some of the best open minded and friendly group I've ever met. MOST of them anyway.

But the media seems to portray them mostly as closeted gays, perverts who dress up in suits, and as weirdo's and freaks, and while this may be true for some furries, it is not the whole picture, and it is not what furries are about.

And even if it was I love furries so much that I am trying to see what I can do to clear their name, and I definitely am not the first.

My experiences with furries has taught me alot of things, many things I don't think I could have learned with any other fandom, and the flack they get is undeserved and seem to go unpunished.

I was watching the movie 'A thousand Words' and one of the characters, a Gen Y nerd who assists the main character for a job was sent reeling by his antics to confessing he owns 'Furry tapes' and that 'He tried to be the more noble wolf but he girlfriend was a sexy skunk.'

Most would laugh about this. Even I chuckled, but then I though about it again and said to myself. 'Is this really how they see us? Anthrocon isn't as small as it used to be and more people at least know who furries are and what kind of things they get up to.'

But I live in Australia where it is an even small derivative. The average high-schooler here doesn't know what a furry is. And most don't want to know, and for most furries this is fine.

But for me, a higher aim would be to portray furries in a more lighthearted and friendly tone as this culture permeates through society.

And it is slowly becoming more accepted to be different, our elders and the generation before us may be less willing but it is generally accepted that people can have fun dressing up and pretending to be animal creatures whether it is innocent or not is up the individual.

As time goes on furries may become more engrained if we were to follow the example of the furries that selflessly support their communities and proudly wear their fur-suits out in the parades and helping out kids (with a police background check of course as all mascots must adhere to make sure that its all safe)

So I ask you my furry brethren who I have loved and supported all these years despite being a minority hobby and lifestyle, do you think that furries could be more open to the media and develop a culture of their own.

It has been my dream to represent furries as a PR manager, and indeed it is the only job most furries don't want to do. I Would take up that, but it is not mine to take until I have the support of the majority and people at least think furries are okay guys, even if they are a little strange.

EDIT: Some marvelous responses and insight! And just to be clear, the soapbox I'm getting up on about this has some strong wording behind it, but I am aware its made of cardboard and its not really a huge issue, in fact it will probably resolve itself, I just like to talk about such things, and its really something we all have to decide for ourselves. I will definitely think of this a bit more and from a different angle.

Hello! I'm a relatively new artist and also fairly new to the fandom in general. I want to get some more practice, with it all. I recently drew two avatars for different people and really enjoyed the smaller canvas, it was much less intimidating to work on. I finished this for a user the other day http://fav.me/d623naa

So as a gift I'm offering to draw a smallish 300x300 avatar for anyone, but who knows maybe it will turn into a larger piece if I get carried away.

I must confess that I will not be able to guarantee that I can or will draw every single one of you who choses to allow me to draw them. My mind works in strange ways, sometimes things just happen other times things just don't. So you may get something you may not, just depends if the idea clicks in my head. (but I will look at and attempt each piece regardless)

All you have to do is fill out a simple form here so I can keep track of it all easily and know how to contact you. If you decide to let me draw you, be prepared to get many questions I like to get lots of feedback during the process and I like to do my best to make it look like you.

Note: It will most likely be a digital painting but who knows I may end up drawing you on paper if the idea comes to me when Im away from a computer.

I recently bought a new graphics card, and it came with a free copy of Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider....I have zero interest in either of these games and was curious if any artists would like to trade an image for the code related to these games. (I'm asking here cause idk where else to ask)
