I'm a student PHP programmer, and I heard people talking about a chatroom in another thread.

I would like people to try my chatroom scripts, so yea~ I don't know if any here would like it, but I could put it online for people to use here!

I can even make more functionalities as we go along~ I'm working on avatars for now!

I am gay... and have been in love with my straight best friend since almost 4 years now... last year I came out to him... and shortly after confessed my feelings for him ... he took it quite positively.. but after that he started avoiding me ... and behaving differently ... when I asked if it was better I stayed away from him ... he wouldn't let me ... and it hurt a lot when he wouldn't reply or would cut me off... so I finally decided to stop talking to him ... secretly hoping he would miss me... and that he would go back to normal... but that didn't happen.... he did not text nor call for almost more than three months... and yesterday he send me a text saying "hi! how's life...?" I finally started to get used to him not being there ... and now this ... so I haven't replied...what should I do...? Please help.

Hi, Damon,

Your boyfriend might be okay with your being gay on general principles, but he might be fearful that you want him for more than a friend.  You say yourself you’re in love with him, and I’m sure he figured that out, too. The question is: can you just be friends with him? Or would it drive you crazy to be in a close friendship knowing that you can never have him on more intimate terms? If you had a boyfriend, it might put him at ease that you are not going to make any moves on him, but since you’re single at the moment, that strategy won’t work.

Now that you got his text asking you how you are, it might be an indication he is ready to talk again after his initial surprise. If I were you, I would follow up with a reply and ask if he would meet you for coffee or tea, or at some other public place, and talk. If he does, reassure him in as many ways possible that you are only interested in resuming your friendship with him and that you aren’t going to do anything to make him uncomfortable (I’m not sure what is going on in his mind, but I do know that a lot of straight guys out there think that gay men are all out to “convert” them; maybe that’s only fair, since straight religious people are always trying to convert gay men).

If there is a chance you can resume your friendship, you should try to do so. But do try and set aside any romantic notions you might have about your relationship.

I'm not exactly the most creative and imaginative person out there, and I struggle to create my own fursona. Is there some site I can go to, to "adopt" a fursona that some artist has created at random?

Hello again furs, feathers and scales, JP or FortressLord here!

The point of this thread is not to advertise, but firstly, to connect myself to others since I'm in the smallest faction of creative furs, and secondly to give you a chance to have your idea on my first planned album ever. So it's a win-win.

Basically, music became my primary hobby not too long ago, and now I'm a full furry, so it makes sense that... This is how I contribute to the community and repay for my old self's attitude.
I'm really low on ideas, and a measly few months of experience and lack of creativity is NOT a good mix.

And so I come to you guys - What do you want to hear? No promises on the result being what you asked completely, but as an example somebody wanted a Deadmau5-style simple track, and that track is newly finished as 'Dragonite'.

So if you have an idea, want something done, or see this as a way to not-quite-guarantee yourself a free audio commision, feel free to say below. Also if you have questions or want to talk, don't worry, something-something canine joke.

Just a question that's been banging around in my head for a while. If genetic engineering goes really far and furries are able to actually become their fursonas, how many of you would want to do it? I'm curious to see your reasoning.

An overview and reminder of just how great the late 80s and 90s Disney cartoons use to be. The Nostalgia Critic makes a lot of astute observations that I had never thought deeply about before.

In most cartoons for instance the hero is either righteous, or incompetent, but Darkwing Duck was a glory hunter, fighting crime for fame and gratitude. The critic notes he is like a child playing out his fantasies and that made me consider how the series was ahead of its time in predicting the man-child of today. Growing up on comics and cartoons, they now have the ability to re-enact their childhood using the skills they have gained as adults.

The critic also timelines the steady decline in quality from 1992 onwards. Goof Troop heralded the start of Disney trying to be ‘cool’, ‘hip’ and ‘relevant’, which had the opposite effect of being aged, cringeworthy and committing the sin of targeting an audience that existed on a marketer’s excel sheet. Even as a young tyke I could tell what Disney was trying to accomplish; speaking to ‘my generation’ when in fact my mind rejected it because I felt no affinity with Max. Nothing about his American suburban life felt relevant to my life in a British terrace house. It is telling how decades on when furs get nostalgic about Disney cartoons; DuckTales, Tail Spin and Chip ’n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers will crop up more frequently in conversation than the likes of Goof Troop or Bonkers.

One final thing I noticed is how Disney released their cartoons differently between the US and the UK. In the UK they were broadcast Saturday morning on ITV under a variety of show formats. Subsequently I was confused when Nostalgia Critic did not talk about programmes such as The Little Mermaid, Jungle Cubs and 101 Dalmatians The Series, till I realised they were not part of the Disney Afternoon slot and in the case of The Little Mermaid was on a completely different channel.
