Does anyone here have a chimpanzee or primate fursona? Are they common?

I ask because furs are animals that have been humanized but...wouldn't humanizing a chimpanzee or something similar just be making a human?

Do primate furs count as furs?

my friends are trying to get me to create a fursona. Since I have never been a furry or really been around them that often I dont really get the whole alter-ego kinda deal related with them.

my question is: what is the easiest way to create a fursona? like first pick a favourite animal or do I figure out what kind of personality I want to portray?

this will be helpful because it seems like a lot of fun and a really creative thing to do.

I've been playing with RedditGraphs and I liked some of the tools, specially the 'daily trends' graph.
Found it curious since it shows when this sub and others are more active.

The bot watches the reddits 24/7 so the posting habits of the bot should be consistent with the overall reddit activity.

The huge spike in activity arround ~10:30 EST is nothing unexpected... but europe seems to work in two shifts, Early afternoon and early night.

A couple of posts outside relevant reddits ... maybe I forgot to login with the non-bot account (;-_-)

Yes, I know this has been asked before, but the posts are rather old, and everyone seems to have either stopped accepting commissions altogether or they're very unclear on their information.

I don't have any art of my character, and I figure it's about time I remedy this. So, I'd like to know some people who are currently accepting commissions. I don't care about cost, so if you know of any people who are in need of an extra buck, send 'em my way.

I feel indifferent about being a furry anymore. I used to love calling myself one but anymore I just find drama with it. The oversexualized world that is the furry fandom is also starting to get old. I can't go most places involving furries without some hints of sexual stuff. Even irl when I go to my furry parties, the host tells everyone this is a clean party but several always end up doing things, sometimes in public. Even when I was into the sexual stuff, I found it to be way to over the top, my imagination only gets so far before reality tells me that it is impossible in every way. I can't look at a picture of someone with a dick bigger then their body, rationality kicks in and just turns me off.

I feel like this is partially because of my major, psychology. Then I get to thinking. I joined the fandom because they are accepting of everyone, however, just because you are accepted does not mean your ideas are always right. I have met more pedophiles, drama whores, art whores, rude people, egocentric arses, and depressed love hungry jerks in the fandom then I have anywhere else. I am just getting so sick off all the BS. I love to have my fursona, I love to get art of him (not with other people) and I am him only, I have no other interest besides seeing others (within reasonable proportions) fursonas.

Am I the only one here who has kinda felt this way?
