Hey all,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I've been developing an automated e621.net downloader and I wanted to share it with you all. It's been stable for a while, but I just released a new version that I've worked hard to make faster, more stable, and simpler to use.

I really do hope that I've made it easy to use, but you should still read a bit about it before getting started. It's not too long, and you don't need to know anything about Python at all to use e621dl or understand how it works.

Once you have a general idea how it works, grab a copy and try it out.

Please let me know if you run into any trouble!

(Before anyone asks, it's not just for smut! Just add "rating:s" to each line of your tags file, like this:

fox rating:s

and as long as things are tagged appropriately on e621.net, which they usually are, you should be relatively safe.)

I'm setting out a game plan to moving with the pack, and offering things like commissions and icons and badges. But I'm very in the dark as to how these work, since I've spent most of the past several years as an artsy-fartsy type, painting things and being depressed that a sketch I made of a fetish I don't even like has gotten ten times as many views in a week as the three-weeks-it-took-to-make, impossibly detailed full watercolor with a furry reimagining of a Wagner opera... received in three months.

I have demophobia and don't go to cons very often, so I have no idea how many people actually wear badges, or more than one, or how they're worn. That'll certainly affect how I make them. How do your badges feel? And other artists, what are your takes on shipping.

The other bit is icons. How long do you usually use icons for, and what do you want it to represent? Abstract color? Your face? What emotion? This is alien territory to me, because when I need a new icon I just sort of... draw another one. As a commissioner how do you approach them, when you need a new one created?

SO I really wanna get a noir style picture done of my fursona, but I have no clue where to look or how much to spend. I've been on FA, but I've only seen a few artists that I genuinely like. Can anyone recommend me a good artist that wont break the bank that has available slots? It would be much appreciated.

i was just looking at tf's on DeviantArt and i just thought how the world would react to this event. for example.

EDIT: first of all i applaud any of you who are able to understand this messy "story"

let's say 40% of the population "quickly" starts changing into furry's, wether they like it or not. and it takes a month or so, for the person to be fully transformed into a furry. kinda like a infection that can't be stopped. anyway after that the remaining 40% are all furry's the rest of the world starts changing.

how do you all think this would turn out in the end? i would probably enjoy this happening (like any other furry :P). how would all you react?

So, the new full-color 60-page book will be shipping this June, according to his web site. So what’s it about? “It’s about a boy named Tanner Jones and his adventure to find the Monkey Stone. One of the pages has the main character and her boyfriend at an ice cream shop and she asks if they should get their friend something and if he's allergic to anything. The BF then starts imagining bringing his friend an ice cream carton full of bees.
