Hiya

I am a transgender woman who sometimes dips in and out of second life. I didn't know about you guys until recently, but had often seen an anthropomorphic animal walking around. I have always been a little interested in you people :). I have found that furries tend to be such delightful friendly and creative people and I was wondering if maybe we have a little in common as I try and play a role that I wasn't assigned to when born.

I would like to explore furry communities in second life a little bit more but I am very shy and worried about stepping on people toes. I have found that most furries have been incredibly welcoming but a little guarded at first, I expect like my community you suffer a lot from trolls too. I present in second life as a human female but I was wondering if maybe I could find a cat girl ear headband and wear that as a sign of support and maybe even semi fan girl but I thought it best to ask somewhere first if that would be acceptable or if it might come over a little like a minstrel. I have never dated in second life before but I have to admit being in the arms of a big soft man/lady with a cute animal face does sound very appealing. Do furries ever consider humans as a potential match or do they prefer to stay with their own kind?

Maybe one day I will dip into becoming a furry on second life myself! I havn't yet figured every last part out about me yet and it may be part of my destiny but for the time being I want to make sure that I am keeping my nose clean and being friendly towards this wonderful group of people!

I've been gone from the furry fandom for a long, long time, so I don't know what exactly happened to myfur.net; It seems that babyfur.me is fine (I'm not exactly an ABDL so I don't really think it'd be the best for me to join that, unless people migrated there)

When I head there, though, it says it's down for maintance and that I need to put in an access code -- I try to look around for what happened, but there's no evidence anywhere that it's ever been like this. What exactly happened..?

So soon I will be creating a PayPal account, and hopefully buying my first character ref from an artist. So I thought I'd come here to ask for an artist to choose. (Kinda evident from my Username) I'm a dragon, an anthro one to be more precise, so what artists do them well? I don't care much about price, I'd prefer to stay below £30 but I could go up to £40. I really love the way sirod does dragons, like this, but that particular artist is no longer doing commissions :c

Hey, I've been drawing a bit here and there a bit this year and wish to make it a full-time thing. So I'll be taking reqs' for however long. Not great at it, but a few months of actually going into it should help.

Well... as you may remember, I have this friend that I like... but he... well... I'm starting to think he only likes how I treat him in sexual acts... and well... I was chatting with a female friend of mine (I feel that saying a girl friend... sounds weird) and he has been "teasing" with her, him and another friend we have in common to have a threesome... So yeah... my question is... should I give up on him? I talked with another friend and he agrees that he is "urged" and maybe that's why he lets me do this stuff... In your earlier letter http://www.askpapabear.com/letters/bi-furry-from-mexico-likes-a-guy-who-is-afraid-of-his-own-sexuality it sounded like your friend “E” was too nervous about being gay (or bi, whatever) to have a relationship with you. Now it sounds like he’s getting over that and wants a threesome with a man and a woman, yes? So, that sounds like he’s getting over his sexual hang-ups. Also in your earlier letter, you wanted a real relationship with E, but now to me it sounds like he just wants you for sex.

So, the question for you is this: would you be content with just a sexual relationship, or do you want a real relationship with him? If you just want sex, then you might still go for it (safely, of course), but I think you are deeper than that. I don’t think you want a player, I think you want a mate. If that’s the case, I think you can do better than E and should continue your search for someone who is deeper and more mature and is looking for the same things you are.

This year when I was in Pittsburgh attending Anthrocon there was a guy who showed up the last night of the convention who just parked himself outside the hotel, I saw he had a bunch of weird cardboard and a bin and shit so I thought "Oh great, some homeless guy..."

But then I went up and saw that all the cardboard he had was covered in BEAUTIFUL artwork of the various fursuiters walking around. Apparently he was offering to draw your character for $20 or something.

He was REALLY good. And these pieces were HUGE, I'm talking, as tall as a person in some cases. And they were painted, not just markers or something.

I told him that his work was amazing, and suggested he comes back next year and contacts the convention staff and show them his work. There's a good chance he could get a table in the dealer's room and make some serious cash that way.

He was super excited and said he would be back next year, and said he LOVED drawing "all the furry peoples".

I hope he comes back, that dude was cool.

Did anyone else see him or get a drawing from him? I wanted to do it but I didn't have any good artwork on me that day for him to reference, and when I checked my wallet my last $20 was already gone.

I really hope he comes back next year even if it's just to take up the street corner again, because his work was amazing.
