Speak from your own experience. Is it your want to be an animal that makes you dress this way? Is it your love for anthropomorphic animal fiction? What causes you to enjoy your hobby?

I guess I should consider myself a furry because I have mentally made a fursona which is a fox. I have also found rule 34 which I enjoy looking at for scientific reasons. I believe my first contact with the fandom was when I found a story on Deviantart involving a taur virus a few years ago. It plagued my interest and is still on my mind to this day. If I could do one thing for this fandom I guess it would be to make a tool which would make fursonas more permanent via genetic modifications while also being reversible if needed. I am extremely shy to the point that I had to build up the guts to type all this out while distracting myself at the same time so I would not delete it instantly.

Throwaway/new account because.

Hi, everyone. I think I'm finally comfortable admitting to myself that I'm a furry, or some kind of part of the community.

I've been a part of a chat site and forum that was originally created for furries, though it has deviated some since it was created, for about six years now. Wolfhome, for those wondering. My best friend introduced it to me when I was going through that typical confused adolescent "where do I fit in" phase. I've been in love with it since, even if I leave for a few months, I always come back.

The artistic side of it really drew me in (haha). I've been doodling since I could hold a crayon, and digital art was something new and awesome to me. When I got my first tablet I was hooked; I practiced all the time. I needed something to draw, so I made/bought characters. Some of them represented me to a point, but I never called any of them my fursona.

I'm still on wolfhome today, six years later. I still draw characters that I've had for around five years, though I don't really roleplay anymore. I've been taking commissions for a couple years now which is really neat.

I am just realizing after lurking around this subreddit that I am kinda part of this community, even outside of wolfhome. It never really dawned on me until now. I just wanted to share and say hi, hope you guys don't mind (:

Hello fuzzybutts! I was inspired by you guys to make a pirate picture if its not too late! i got the sketch of it down and i want to go all out with this, but my problem is, I cant think of what/who the pirate should be! so I decided i should ask you guys! All of you throw your picture references at me and ill choose who should be the pirate! I am currently leaning on the feline/leopard/tiger side but everyone send me your references just in case I get inspired by yours!

Background -- I have a friend who's obsessive about his hate for furries (It may be he's hiding the fact he is one or is afraid he could become one). So naturally I've never admitted to him that I am a furry. Lately, he's been publicly demeaning to furries, and the hatred has started to get to me. So, in the meantime I've been plotting a little, "ironic twist," to his story >:3

Here's the catch of the prank -- the inner door of his locker is full of sports illustrated model posters, and I just happen to know the combination because he was dumb enough to write it down on a bookmark. In addition, another friend of mine borrowed his ipad which is currently in my possession.

The plot -- Plant furry pictures everywhere! In his ipad files, on his tumblr, over his locker pictures, etc. I figure I'll hit the ipad first since he uses it to take notes in chemistry class (when he sits at the very front of the room XD ).

tl;dr (what I ask of you) -- I need pics that won't get the police involved, but are just nsfwish enough to get a cringe out of a furry hater (or in this case, to embarrass him to hell).

... and no, I won't be a jerk for too long, I'll admit to the world that I'm a furry, and that I screwed around with my friend.
