I'm curious about graphic novels and I thought I might make my first read something with furry characters. I'm more interested in one long story than a collection of short stories. Any suggestions?

What was your first Furry Meetup like?

I attended my First meet Yesterday and it was awesome :D The Organizers hold Monthly meetups and the sheer feeling of being surrounded by other furries was incredible. Being my shy self I just sat there playing on my DS, then I noticed somebody appear on the PSS(Pokemon Multiplayer system) I quickly tried to find a way to contact them, I finally figured out that I could change my characters Motto, I did so and then after a minute or two I checked the other players, motto and it turned out she was across the room in another part of the venue. There were two girls sat together, one wearing a partial(White Wolf Head with Handpaws) and another wearing a Rainbow Tail. I sat down with my DS and had a pokemon battle with the girl in the Partial, I got my butt handed to me as she had a full team of Eeveelutions while I just had my ORAS team which were only around level 30-40 at the time.

After I got beat a second time, we had a chat about our Fursonas and they showed me some of their awesome art work(Some Furry Art and some pokemon art) I stayed for as long as I could and even met a guy in a Full suit :D

Afterwards my Brother's band were opening the christmas fair in our town so it was a pretty awesome day all things considered.

Furries have always been pretty neat to me and some of the drawings this subreddit has are pretty cool too! I've known about furries for a couple years now and always wanted to get into it so here I am. So what now? I'm not very good at drawing so I can't draw my furry either :/

In 2010 Russia’s Centre of National Film gave the world Space Dogs, a CGI animated feature that celebrated the memory of Strelka and Belka (the first animals ever to survive a trip rocketing into orbit) by re-imagining them in a science fiction adventure. Now one of the same directors (Inna Evlannikova) has returned to bring us their further adventures in Space Dogs 2, also known as Space Dog: Adventure to the Moon. Epic Pictures has picked up international distribution rights for the film. According to their web site, the plot goes like this: “When the world’s most precious monuments disappear before everyone’s eyes, an unlikely team of two legendary Russian canine astronauts named Belka and Strelka, a heroic American monkey named Bonnie, and Belka’s brave teenage son Pushok jet off to the dark side of the moon to investigate the mystery.” The site also has a link to the trailer. Here’s another Russian film that is slowly making its way around North America in specialty screenings, so look for it. (It’s also available on DVD at least some places, apparently.)
