Art

Furry Reddit - Wed 17 Dec 2014 - 13:04

Hey fluffy butts, this may be a mini rant... if so I apologise D:

I've been browsing through FA looking at amazing artists and bits of art,

My question is tho, If your paying $100+ for a commission, would you not expect a physical copy? I understand shipping ect , so like depending on the cost would depend on the material/quality it was printed?

I mean ive seen amazing art pieces by truly talented artists, but will cost $500+... Now if I payed someone that much money for a piece of art... I dunno I would kind of expect a physical copy, not just a link online?

It might just be me tbh! Sorry for the random post/rant ><

Do ya' know THIS webcomic?

Furry Reddit - Wed 17 Dec 2014 - 12:05

Yo! I'm looking for a webcomic. It's at least three years old, but seems older. It doesn't continue to run, but was in fact one completed story. You could call it a graphic novel.

The story revolved around feral animals who had "holobrains" seperating them from wild animals, granting them sentience and intellectual faculty. The main character was a male fox, and his counterpart was a snarky female cat. The cat had developed an ability to split herself into four/more forms, while the fox developed an ability to let himself use "100%!" of his holobrain capacity, at significant physical cost.

The art style was sketchy but the anatomy was phenomenal. It was short, perhaps 50 pages. Any luck?

Are any of you guys and gals religious?

Furry Reddit - Wed 17 Dec 2014 - 07:29

You've probably seen me before and by now you know that when I'm not commenting, or posting my art I'm asking questions. And as a fox I'm generally always curious! So are any of you other furries religious? I'm a Christian but I think it'd be neat to know if there are furries from other religions or even from Christianity aswell. :3 Edit: thanks for all the replies! Very interesting! Thanks for sharing everone.

Fluff and Fangs

In-Fur-Nation - Wed 17 Dec 2014 - 02:06

Yet another creative discovery from the CTN Animation Expo: Meg Park, designer and illustrator. Or as she puts it on her personal web site, character designer and visual development artist. Besides examples of her work you’ll find a link to her Etsy Store where you can purchase various prints — many of them toony and anthropomorphic — as well as her art collection book, Fluff & Fangs.

Good Furry Podcast?

Furry Reddit - Wed 17 Dec 2014 - 01:03

Hey all, I listen to a lot of podcasts about various materials, but I recently realized I don't actually listen to any podcasts that focus on anything furry related (the fandom, art, literature, conventions, etc.). What would you guys recomend as your personal favorites? Thanks!

So I'm in the planning stage of a furry documentary and I need your help.

Furry Reddit - Wed 17 Dec 2014 - 00:14

First off, a little introduction:

I am, in fact, part of the fandom. I have been studying film for the past 5-7 years. There are no big projects to my name, I am admittedly still in high school and am off to college next year. I want to make a documentary on furries, most of the time if anyone does a documentary on a fandom that is not part of the fandom it ends up being really bad, so I wanted to make one with people that are in the fandom by people who are in the fandom. I plan to cover what furries are all about: appreciation of the arts, acceptance, and charity.

What I need help with is:

  • interview questions for specific groups.
  • Film makers willing to film in areas I can not get to.
  • Interviewees.

Here are the categories:

  • General Questions
  • Questions for Kage (if I ever get the opportunity to interview him)
  • Suiter Questions
  • Suit Maker questions
  • Traditional/ Digital artist questions
  • Composer questions

Furry Facts

  • Furry =/= Therian
  • Charities the community contributes too:
  • Charity figures (how much donated):

If anyone wants to directly help out, PM me your skype.

EDIT: If you give me figures from charities and such, please send me the source. :)
