I'm pretty new to the fandom, and I'm going to be going to my first con tomorrow--hopefully. I want to purchase a 1 day pass for Anthro New England. Since I have no idea what I'm doing, I was hoping some of you might have some answers to my questions.

1. What are the chances that I'll be able to get a day pass at the door? Are they likely to run out?

2. The website's schedule says that registration opens at 10 AM. Should I be there at 10, or is it better to get there early? How early should I be there?

3. How much spare cash should I bring with me minimum? I don't plan on buying any expensive things in the dealers den this time around. I'm mostly worried about food.

4. I'm going on my own, so are there any convention safety rules I should follow?

5. Tips on interacting with fursuiters? I know those things are hard to move in, and I don't want to accidentally hurt them or make them uncomfortable.

6. Anything else I should know about going in?

I love seeing all the art people have done, and since I have been a fan of furry art for a while, I thought I'd finally start getting into doing my own art! I am more a pencil and paper guy, and I have only been practicing line work by recreating other's drawings, so I don't have any pictures now. I will hopefully start making original work soon and begin sharing it once I build up some confidence.

I have heard a lot of good things about the community being super nice and welcoming, so I would like to get involved in that as well. I am new to this sub (and the community as a whole) so I could sure use help getting started and such. If ya'll have any questions for me, I am more than happy to ask as I love answering questions!
