3 toes vs 4 or 5 toes.

As I delve deeper into this new interest of mine I'm realizing I have preferences I didn't even know I had. I didn't realize how weirded out I felt about 3-toed characters until I 'fixed' an illustration by Voronoi [NSFW] by adding one more toe (hastily). And now that I've done that I'm noticing it even more. Like how on e621 there's even a tag for the number of toes. Though based on the numbers of images under each tag it's not as big of an issue for others as it is for me. That said, there are more 4-toe (8,871) tagged images than 3-toe (5,846).

I find it strange that this even bothers me. I didn't know how many toes a wolf/dog/fox/cat had until I started writing this and wonder if it was subconscious that I even realized 3-toes was 'wrong'. Or if it was more simple, three is too far away from a normal humans 5, but 4 is close enough.

I'm not new, I don't need help with a sona, and I don't have a question

But

I wanted to say hello to my fellow furry butts :) where I live is lacking in tails and suits. So it's pretty lonely in that aspect, so I figured I'd say hi here and see how you all are doing. Hopefully it's warmer for you where it's been super cold.

I've been in a bit of an art slump lately, so... drawing animal people is a good idea, right? Riiiiiiight? :D

One day, a washer-woman encountered a talking fox, who begged her to hide him from a trio of hunters. She did, concealing him in her laundry basket. Of course, this simply made him fall in love with her. Now he wished that she would love him back… and she wished he were a human instead of a fox. So begins the dark fable Outfoxed, written and illustrated by Dylan Meconis. In 2012 Outfoxed was nominated for Best Digital Comic at the Eisner Awards.
