3D Furries! Here's one of my sculpted pieces!
Can we figure out the deal with Rule 4 of this sub? The blanket rule isn't really covering it.
Now pardoning the pun I just realized I made, this has kinda been a thing for...a while actually. Usually quiet, except for that post that quite literally exploded last week. But after living on this sub, clicking almost every post at least once through the day, I've seen the debate pop up way more often than it should.
"This should probably be NSFW"
"What's NSFW about this? It's barely (enter vague description)"
"Something something RULE 4"
I'm really scared to post this. Like, a little terrified to post this, just because of how this sub really likes to play debate club with pitchforks when it comes to their definitions of NSFW, but that's when we need a clearly set line of rules to explain THIS IS THE LINE. DO NOT CROSS. Otherwise we get people who can't decide if a swimsuit is a swimsuit or ready-to-do, if laying on a butt is suggestive, or if buff bodies are a bit too revealing or fetish-catering (all real examples that have happened in less that 7 days).
Lets break down the overly confusing, but all very accurated depending on your view, points that people have made:
*NSFW stands for "not safe for work", but the term is used for anything not okay for a /public/ setting, not just work, so the whole "well stop browsing r/furry at work" argument falls flat.
*This sub was supposed to be defined as the clean sub, but the nsfw sub is only for hardcore porn. The rest of us play this dumb game of "well it's not porn so it HAS to be clean". No...just because it's not porn doesn't automatically make it clean.
*You could preemptively tag everything on this sub as NSFW just to be safe, but then that's just silly. There's a line somewhere.
*Nudity, mang. Once they're nude, they're NSFW. Well.....hate to break it to you, but a huge portion of furry art is nude because animals, but has zero relevance to being suggestive at all. This one is probably the grayest area of them all.
*NSFW also raises a flag for people who don't care for sex or sex related humor, or suggestive images. Not the people around them, but for the individuals on this sub who are here for the clean and simple art.
The second anyone says "maybe this should be NSFW" just to be on the safe side, you are guaranteed at least 5 people saying why it SHOULDN'T be NSFW. Because everyone on this sub has varying degrees of what's acceptable. God forbid there are people who became furries for the yiff and hang around on this sub, and there are furries on the same exact sub who are entirely uninterested (and possibly repulsed) by NSFW.
This isn't a call for this sub to be entirely clean or not, I'm just a little done trying to understand what exactly this sub is, none of us have an answer and it literally changes from super clean to VERY dirty within a matter of a few days, and changes back. It feels like a damn MOBA meta.
I just hope we can get some kind of better clarification on the rules so this dumb argument doesn't keep cropping up every other day. Maybe even a civil discussion among the people here to help figure it out?
I'm sorry, but tagging EVERYTHING on this sub NSFW isn't gonna work.

Here are the results of my draw thread!
Amassed a few pieces of art of my character! [NSFW]
Collected using good old fashioned requests! You might notice the character himself varies widely from picture to picture.
That's because I have no idea how to distinguish him. He's not a special species, nor is he neon. He's kind of generic. I really need to get a character sheet (if I had money). Tell me what you think!

Metro Detroit Fur Meet (Interest?)
So, Motor City Fur Con was a lot of fun and I'm sure many of us had a lot of fun doing things and enjoying the shenanigans. After meeting some people there, I wound up thinking about the topic of conventions and furmeets. I've heard about furmeets happening, but haven't ever really been to one. After spending some time on Google it became apparent that there are rarely any in Michigan. (As a side note, apparently very few furries live here.) So, following on that I've started thinking about setting one up. This brings me to why I'm here on reddit today. I've got a question for any furries in Michigan, particularly anyone within a reasonable drive of Metro Detroit. If I were to put in the legwork of setting a furmeet up, would anyone be interested in attending?
Ps: If there's interest I'll start sorting the details out. (Where, when, all that fun stuff.)
TL;DR Would anyone be interested in a furmeet near Detroit either this weekend or the weekend after?

IMVU flair added with links to filters
In case you want to keep up to date on the IMVU stuff specifically, there's a tag for that now. AutoModerator will also automatically tag anything with "IMVU" in the title as "IMVU" Follow this link to see all of the tagged IMVU posts: http://www.reddit.com/r/furry/search?q=flair_text%3A%27imvu%27&sort=top&restrict_sr=on&t=month
Or, if you're sick of seeing it, you can see the hot posts from today, minus IMVU by clicking here: http://www.reddit.com/r/furry/search?q=NOT+flair%3A%27imvu%27&sort=hot&restrict_sr=on&t=day
Finally, if you have Reddit Enhancement Suite , and you don't want to see IMVU (or any other tags!) go to your RES Settings console -> Click "filter", turn filteReddit on if it's off -> scroll down to "flairs" -> add IMVU -> and then hit "save".
If you post something and you want to add a flair (please do!) slide your mouse on over to the highlighted "flair" link right below your post's title.

Too far.
ive been seeing furry hate recently, I know most of us do but I've been seeing some of the more over the top stuff, people literally killing things to tussle our jimmies or people driving others to suicide. Why do you guys think this happens? And what are your views on furry hate gone 'too far'. I think in cases like the chlorine bomb incident people are taking a stupid internet thing to the next level, so what do you think? And are there any ways of preventing this other than to end humanity? Share some of your views.
