So, I see posts often of people being exposed as furries and being laughed at. Most of them try to ask how to get their friends and family to know it isn't a sex thing. Now, contrary to popular belief, the CSI episode was not the starting point of this connotation. It certainly didn't help, but it wasn't the starting point. A long time ago, when the fandom was just getting started, a furry convention in California (in order to get more attendees) decided to advertise the convention as a big sex thing. Needless to say, it got the wrong kind of attention. THAT kickstarted the CSI episode and the Thousand Ways to Die scene (How I first heard of the furries), and everything else. That was what made me an Anti-Furry for a long time before finally looking at the good side.

The good side of the fandom, you can say to explain to your friends and family, is that we are a very creative group who, as a whole, donate to many charities and pump millions into the economies of wherever we hold a convention. We are a very accepting group for everybody, and some furries even hold higly esteemed positions (such as Uncle Kage).

No matter what it is, you can always take it to a new, higher, weirder level folks. Super Angry Birds is a new full-color on-line comic series from IDW and Rovio Studios, giving us a whole new take on (what else?) the Angry Birds universe. “It’s everyone’s favorite furious fowl as you’ve never seen them before! New Yolk City is your typical bustling metropolis and like every big city it has a dark side. Through lies, deceit and corruption, King Pig and his henchmen have taken over the town and have made life miserable for its citizens. This makes one group of birds angry…Super Angry!
