Animation: 'The Painting' is coming

Animation Scoop has the new American trailer and poster for the 2011 French animated feature Le Tableau (The Painting), due for May 24 release.
Is it anthropomorphic? The characters are not humans but paintings of humans.
Directed by Jean-Francois Laguionie, the France/Japan coproduction is a clever parable, about the haves and the have-nots, in a kingdom is divided into the three castes: the impeccably painted Alldunns; the Halfies whom the Painter has left incomplete; and the untouchable Sketchies, simple charcoal outlines banished to the cursed forest.
Call it borderline anthropomorphic, then.

Missed this while my computer was down; I know Kristopher Tapley of In Contention raved about this movie; he was shocked when it didn't at least get an Annie nomination. I was really surprised when it didn't make his top ten year end list.
