'Wolf fetish' sex offender jailed
Kristian Timmerman, a 32-year-old man who had a "fetish for dressing as a wolf", has been jailed for 22 months for the sexual grooming of a 12-year-old girl. [Ellonwye/Furrydrama2]
The Indonesian-born Timmerman made contact with the girl after she set up a profile on YouTube, where Timmerman hosted fan-videos relating to animated movie Alpha and Omega.
Timmerman spent months sending her flattering messages and cartoons, and moved from the Netherlands to Liverpool, England, where the girl lived. Although she did not reveal her exact address, he determined it by examining photographs the girl had posted of her dog.
Timmerman was twice seen cycling past the girl's house, and went on to leave items in her back garden, including Easter eggs, a toy dinosaur, money, letters, and a USB memory stick. After finding the letters, the girl's parents contacted the police.
When the police arrested Timmerman, they found "a rubber costume with a wolf's head" amongst his belongings, and they claim "he had a fetish for dressing up as a wolf to perform sex acts on animals".
Judge Nicholas Woodward said that Timmerman had "used determination and subterfuge" in his attempts to contact the girl, and sentenced him, after he admitted to sexual grooming, to 22 months imprisonment, plus a concurrent four-week sentence for possession of extreme pornography.
Although Timmerman had an empty account on Fur Affinity, and furry pictures and a photo of a fursuit (not shown to be his) in a Facebook album, he does not seem to have been actively involved in the furry fandom.

Finally a sexual scandal that is not connected with college sports in anyway!
With all that work towards finding the girl, I wouldn't be surprised if he inspired an episode of CSI or Law & Order :P
Took me a moment to realize the grooming charge was towards trying to entice her rather than a physical act, interesting how different aspects of the English language pop up from overseas. The whole mention of the fursuit I'm gonna assume is either to sensationalize the story a bit more or is somehow related to that 'extreme' pornography found in his possession. Unfortunately even a minor connection to the furry fandom will be enough to spur possible follow-up stories on the topic.
Alpha & Omega: it's not just a shit movie and a shameful swansong for Dennis Hopper's career, convicted perverts love it too.
That's pretty creepy... He moved from country to another and then tracked down a young girl. Could have gone a lot worse if it hadn't been stopped.
"If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind."

After reading that I'm a little creeped out.
Just shows people how far someone is willing to go to get to you.
Makes all the fussing about the online safty back at school realistic.
The only thing I'm kind of bothered by is the news article writen in the BBC magazine: Who are the furries? Was only writen because of this incident. Its that sort of news that has spead a bad name to not only furries but also young people.
