To me the NHL one, because it isn't something I would have found out if it wasn't posted here for one as I don't watch sports that much. And two, it's positive in the light that furries are now an important enough sub-culture for people to haggle with.
I know it's probably a biased choice but I'm going for the FA admins story.
A lot of the other options are for things that are only partially related to furry, the exotic animal story has no tie to the fandom, or are of events that have only a limited effect. FA is still the biggest furry site and so it has relevance for the most people, not to mention the merger was claimed to be a big announcement. In the aftermath and possibly related to the resignation, Furocity was brought down for quite a while and brought SoFurry and, to a lesser extent, Inkbunny into the whole incident.
