I... think it was pretty accurate. <:) It might've not glamorized us much, but it did get at least 90% of the content correct... the only two things I wish they would've done are #1: Not said that all fursuiters have sex. #2: Stated that not everyone's into the sexual aspect. Just to be fair. I think there should have been a "I didn't think it was that bad." voting choice on the list.
You know, this poll looks really odd in the list of past polls that appears when you select the Other Polls link.
I laughed at some of it. Winced at the personal opinions of Furry presented as facts. Thought some bits were right on. Figure a lot of the problems were due to the lack of time spent making it.

don't get MTV so couldn't watch it, even if I wanted to.
Frankly, I don't think most non-furs opinions of us will change. Anyone I've known who've looked even slightly into furry has usually jumped to one or more of three conclusions:
Pathetic losers who live at home with mummy and like Disney too much
Animal F****** that, well, f*** animals
Strange freaks like those Star Trek guys, only with furry suits and plush toys.
I doubt this will, uh, add any new catagories to those jumped to opinions.

Well, actually, I don't get MTV. (And after this
I doubt I ever will; they're obviously full of it.)
When MTV came out with it's report in Sex2k, I didn't view it -- MTV's not my generation (and I'm 25!!! I'm more VH1!). I'm glad I did. All reports of the report boiled down to "Bad Journalistic Reporting" on the order of "five or more rotten fishheads covered with human feces and wrapped in three day old ichor". It was bad, but in my option not worth commenting on, similar to a Vanity Fair article noone reads.
Then John "The Gneech" Robey (artist of Suburban Jungle) started out the "Proud to be a furry" campaign -- and the "Ashamed to be Gay because of these idiots trying to shove it down everyone's throats" rant by Wolfox Radio's own 2 (http://wolfox.werewolves.org for the rant) started playing in my mind. Why John?!? Why?!?
Because it's a good idea?Because running away and hiding won't change anyone's perception of furry fandom?Because nobody said doing the right thing would be easy?I came out back in 1988, back when AIDS was still considered a "gay disease", so I have firsthand experience that the only way to get rid of ignorance is to speak out against it. John Robey has the right idea, and if more folks had the courage to follow his example instead of just whining, we wouldn't have these problems.

Why what? What is John saying that's so bad? He's not saying "I yiff my pets and I'm proud of it", he's saying "I like anthropomorphics and I'm proud of it, and I'm not going to let people ruin my fun with their stupid false conceptions." He's not tryin' ta shove nothin' down nobody's throat, as far as I can see.
i don't have cable so i couldn't have watched if i'd wanted to - things that potentialy degrade first impressions bother me a little (or maybe a lot) - and premeditated inaccuracy is generaly annoying to begin with - as for the sex thing - well personal taste IS personal taste whatever it may happen to be - i have yet to know what percentage of us are into what with any degree of certainty - but i do know we're mostly a fandom about the art - and all of art has always had some degree of 'freudian' preoccupation - but has never begun and ended entirely therewith - well there are no panacea and this is yet another example of what is less then perfect about putting little green pieces of paper ahead of the real effects of real policies on real people, places and things ... and why it's a rather mixed blessing - but then arn't all 'blessings' in rl a bit mixed - i just happen to have higher priorities in life and not quite enough resources to get arround to investing in cable service - so my impressions of anything that appears on cable are neccessarily second and third hand ... ~;)
Bah...I was disgusted. It got me so angry that in media, furries are being seen as all fur-suiters...from what I can tell, fursuiters are a subphyllum of furrie-ism, you know? Like all Wiccans are Pagan, but not all Pagans are Wiccan kinda thing...You think they could at least realize how they would hurt the furry community.
