Hey guys! I love this subreddit and everyone here is always supportive :) so instead of doing a FA raffle for watchers I'm going to do a /r/furry raffle and then do a FA raffle when I reach 400 watchers ! So the winner will get a full commission from me :3 . I know a lot of you furs don't have a reference sheet yet so if the winner doesn't have a red and would like a reference sheet instead I'll make them a ref /~^ (I'm on mobile so I can't link my FA but I post a lot so if you want to see my work check my post history!)

Like I said, I am out of a laptop, and I'll have to turn this school one in in about 4 hours. It was nice getting to know some people of the fandom a little more, and I do hope that I can carry on once I scrounge up enough money for a decent laptop. My desktop is working now, so I may be able to sneak in a post without family members knowing, but it would be infrequent. So, goodbye /r/furry. I'll see you later.

Ahh ahh ahh ahh oh my god.

So I've just been thinking about this, and the psychology behind liking music...my question is, what are your favorite song lyrics? Or, favorite song as a whole?

..yeah okay maybe this isn't at all furry related but I like you all and it's easier to ask you guys as a sample group than to scrounge up a few untrustworthy fellows.
Incoming wall of text!
Tl;dr: muuuusic guys.

I personally love several strings of lyrics for several reasons.
"It's Only Life" by The Shins always lifts me up when I'm down, reminding me that I always have friends, that I always have people who love and care for me who have "been down the very road [I'm] walking." Aw geez.
"Blue Spotted Tail" by Fleet Foxes is a freakin' poem! It's just wonderful and somber and shy and existential but loving and soothing in a way.
"The Suburbs" by Arcade Fire...guys this is my favorite song of all time. I feel like it just...CAPTURES the spirit of being raised in a suburban neighborhood. And...I just adore the lyrics. How some are complex and violent ("You always seemed so sure that one day we'd be fighting in the suburban war. Your part of town against mine; I saw you standing on the opposite shore.") yet how others are strikingly simple and memory-provoking ("So move your feet from hot pavement and into the grass" and "I want a daughter while I'm still young; I wanna hold her hand, show her some beauty before all this damage is done..."). The song is the soundtrack to my life, I think. It's just...right. It fits.
Finally, The Decemberists. (But wait, Tuxy, isn't that an artist?) WHY YES YES IT IS. A lot of their lyrics are centered around stories or poems as long as you never ever EVER ever listen to What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World, their newest album. Songs like "Eli, the Barrow Boy" and "O, Valencia!" and "Yankee Bayonet" and "Mariner's Revenge Song" and "Pretty Much Every Song That ISN'T FROM THEIR NEWEST ALBUM." are all worth listening to.
