Looks like Harley Quinn and her lady-pals aren’t the only ones running into talking animals this month. In Convergence: Adventures of Superman #1, the Man of Steel and Supergirl journey through the mysterious Phantom Zone — and wind up battling an army of intelligent apes from the world of Kamandi, Last Boy on Earth! Fortunately Kamandi and some less destruction-minded animals are there to help out. This one is written by Marv Wolfman, one of DC’s superstars. The art is by Andy Owens and Roberto Viacava, with a cover by Mikel Janin. Again, it’s on the shelves right now.

I can't sleep. I have this horrible feeling of uneasiness and I have no idea what's causing it. It's like playing hide and seek, expecting your friend to jump out at any moment. I'm tense, my heart's pounding off the wall, and nothing's really wrong aside from the room being pitch black.

I'm really tired. I wanna go to bed ...help :S

So I'm driving an old friend to his house. We are talking and the topic got into "what are furries? I heard you mention that a few times today." So I told him (as best I could) what we are as a community. Full of visual artists, musical artists, literary artists and many other things. Obviously I had to mention the sexual side of the fandom to him, but I didn't try to defend it or throw that aspect under the bus. So after my attempt at a furry fandom tour, he seemed to be very interested in it. Not like "I can see myself joining this community" but more along the lines of "that's cool, I didn't even know this existed. You guys do what makes you happy." (To me) he seemed genuinely surprised and amazed that I was a part of the fandom. I don't know, it made me smile that even though I haven't talked with him in years, he was still happy to know something new about me.

TL;DR Drove a friend hone, told him about furries, he was happy to learn something new about me
