Apparently there are brownie furries. Yum
Ringgar is such a happy, positive guy I thought, "What would his exact opposite be like?" Behold, the Anti-Ringgar. (What have I wrought?)
What is your opinion on roleplaying as the opposite gender?
I am female (IRL and emotionally/mentally), but I spent a LONG time roleplaying as a male. When I started roleplaying it was in AOL Harry Potter chat rooms and there were a shortage of men, so I did the obvious thing: made a male character. It never occurred to me that it might upset anyone until another girl ( I was 12/13 at the time ) asked if I wanted to be her IRL boyfriend and I told her I was a girl. She got super upset with me, told me off, and blocked me (without even giving me a chance to defend myself) and that was the end of it.
Despite her reaction, I continued to roleplay as a male for many years following that (even with my female IRL friends, I always roleplayed as a male character). As I grew older, it was a mixture of liking maleXmale erotica and a healthy dose of penis envy. I've never wanted to be male, but I could SERIOUSLY make use of a penis for a few weeks!
I've long since gone back to roleplaying female characters, but tonight the urge really struck me again and I was thinking about designing myself another male character. And it got me thinking... How do you guys (and gals and everything in between) feel about roleplaying with someone who isn't the gender of their character? I'd love to hear your gender/sexuality as well as your opinion if you're comfortable sharing it. :)
Me, I'm female, bisexual, and I don't mind it in the least.
