Scary Stuff from Spain
Cartoon Brew recently uploaded the current trailer for Psychonauts, a new 2D animated feature from director Alberto Vazquez. “Based on a comic of the same name by Vazquez, Psychonauts follows two teenagers — Birdboy and Dinki — who decide to escape an island that has been devastated by ecological catastrophe. The hand-drawn film, made in Flash and Photoshop, is co-directed by Pedro Rivero, with whom Vazquez made a related short film five years ago called Birdboy. The new feature was produced by Zircozine and Basque Films, and co-produced by Abrakam Studio and La Competencia. No American distribution has been set yet, but more details about the film can be found at PsiconautasMovie.com.” Birdboy is dead… and possessed by demons…

Looking for a hyper-realistic artist to do a comission.
I want to get a comission of my character and right now i have the funds to pay an artist for a complicated and time-consuming piece. I would appreciate if you could refer me to some artists. I am not very good at finding these things as i don't go to many cons, and don't really know how to navigate FA.
Thanks,

I guess I'm a furry now.
I've been lurking for years, but since I recently obtained a fursona and started actually talking to people in the fandom, I guess I should make things official.
So yeah, just a Hyena of the stripey variation making himself known, carry on.

Yes, Disney's 2016 live-action 'The Jungle Book' is anthropomorphic
Posted by Fred (Fred Patten) on Wed 16 Sep 2015 - 00:29
YouTube has the first teaser trailer of the Disney studio’s April 15, 2016 “live-action” (heavily VFX) adaptation of The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau, and it’s definitely full of anthropomorphic animals. The voice actors include Bill Murray as Baloo, Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Lupita N'yongo as Raksha, and Christopher Walken as King Louie.

Despite its small stature (both literally and figuratively), Ratatoskr has managed to gain an important role in a Marvel comic and become a playable character in a popular video game. And the squirrel's two entrances happened one day apart.

Furries in STEM/Technical Fields?
Hello fellow furries. I'm fairly new to the furry fandom and when browsing around here for info I saw that on the Anthrocon website which I quote:
"A large number of anthropomorphics fans are employed in scientific or technical fields. A significant percentage have college diplomas and many of those hold advanced degrees."
So, I was wondering if there was a higher concentration of furries in STEM fields. I personally am dual majoring in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics at an engineering university myself and a couple of my close friends are furries in some way as well. Now that I am a bit more open about being a furry, I am noticing that there are more furries that go to my college than I thought, and my school is nearly strictly engineering and applied science.
I'm just wondering how many of us are either majoring in a STEM/Technical subject or work in the field and it anyone has noticed any correlation between being a furry and having a STEM career or degree. So what do you guys think?
