So I've been feeling the MOBA itch for a bit but every time I load up LoL or Smite I just quickly lose interest. A friend got me back into HotS the other day after having not played it since early beta. Holy hell is it fun. Good hero variety, lots of maps with their own unique objectives, no item store, shared leveling. HotS just seems to be geared more towards having fun instead of some hardcore e-sport.

Anyways, any of you fuzzies want to play? I'm at work currently but I usually play in the mornings and evenings. My BattleTag is Rumtum#1242. Feel free to add me!

I hate to go posting things like this but, well... Seeing as the only thing anyones talking to me about these days is my payday 2 rebalance mod, I'm a lil lonely.

Any other british furballs around here? I kinda need someone to hug, talk to and such.

are there any platonic stories about furries? maybe romantic they don't have to be clean the first 30 chapters but you have to build character. I'm talking real story arcs with a manageable amount of characters. maybe I'm asking too much.

Here's part two after a nail-biting cliffhanger! Sky is the fursona of /u/scamer38 and Lucario is the fursona of /u/Lucario117. All other characters are my own. Enjoy!

Har walked down the chamber wondering where the shipment was when he saw Los looking in the water chamber madly. The avian ran to the canine, pushed him out and looked in the chamber. After seeing the two bodies in it, he pushed several buttons while Los laid on the floor, disoriented from the push.

After the water drained out of the chamber, Har opened it, hoping that he wasn’t too late.

“What the hell was that?” A voice shouted from the chamber. A drenched cheetah walked from it.

“But how?” The avian asked.

“You’re so damn lucky I learned how to hold my breath underwater! Finally, that visit to Tibet was worth it.” Sky took off his red scarf and twisted it, letting water fall on to the floor.

Har looked at Lucario who was still unconscious. “Will he survive?”

“Of course. Just give him a couple moments. There’s a reason the ‘don’t wake a sleepwalking person,’ phrase exists.” Sky looked at Los who was getting up. “And I suppose it was you who pushed the buttons, wasn’t it?”

“No, no!” The canine rushed to Har’s side. “You mustn’t bring them in! They’re here to steal our secrets!” The avian looked at him with confusion of not knowing what to do.

Just then, Lucario walked out of the chamber, drenched. “What just happened?”

Sky sighed. He gestured to Har. “This is Har. He’s a good guy.” To Los, “This is Los, he’s a bad guy.” Just then, Sal walked in and Sky grabbed the black tabby. “Who are you?”

“Sal.” She replied, looking at the stranger confused.

“This is Sal. She’s a black cat so she’ll bring us luck. Now let’s go find some towels.” The cheetah walked out of the hallway, leaving the others shocked.

Meanwhile, another event was happening near them.

“Is the Kras harmed?” A slithery voice asked. A space suit sat at the controls, it’s figure betraying the appearance of a scalie underneath. A grey helmet covered its eyes with enough space for the snout to fit.

“No. It is well. We need more time for it to grow…” Another suited-being hissed. It pressed a glowing green button from the seaweed covered controls. A big door in their underwater chamber opened, revealing the beauty of the colorful sea from six-inch thick glass. The Kras, a giant blue sea monster whose scales glimmered in the dim light, was swimming before it, wailing its pitiful cry.

“Soon, soon Kras.” The first being whispered. “We will take back what was taken.” He pressed a three-fingered glove against the glass. The Kras put his nose at it and stared at the being with its big eyes.

“Here is your tea with extra milk, Sky.” Sal handed the cup to the cheetah who had a towel around his neck, drying the soaked fur. The visitor was sitting in a chair in the lounge, looking through the magazines.

“Glad to see manners have come back from such barbaric times.” The cheetah took the cup and sipped it. “I so do like milk.”

“So you have been here before?” The black feline sat in a chair next to Sky.

He tossed the magazine aside. “Yes, it was about ten years ago by your count. I was checking to see your lab was still going. The world above needs your research.”

“Yes. But Los still doesn’t want anyone to take the founder’s name. He wants to be called saviour of the world and all that.” Sal sighed. “Why do you travel with Lucario? You two seem like such an odd pair.”

Sky thought for a bit. “If you had a machine that could do anything, what would you do with it?”

“Show it.”

“Exactly. Unlike some others, I love showing off. And I can’t do that without an audience.” Sky sipped his tea. “What is Los’s full name by the way? I just want to clarify that.” The cheetah looked at the canine who was looking over the controls.

“Los Greornsten.” Sal answered.

“Dammit.” Sky said in a hushed whisper.

“Why?” The feline asked.

“Reasons. Can I see his lab?” Sky asked.

“No, he forbids it. I must go back to monitoring the outer environment. “Sal stood and went back to her work. After she left, Lucario came and took her spot.

“What’s wrong?” The pokemon had heard Sky cuss over Los’s full name.

“He’s a powerful scientist. That still doesn’t change the fact he tried to kill me. I’m pissed but I can’t do anything about it. He’s the leader in the new energy development that takes the world from the New Dark Ages. What happens down here must always happen.” Sky explained, eyeing the canine with fury.

“What energy is he trying to do?” Lucario asked.

“Go ask Har.” Sky picked the magazine and started reading.

Lucario had no choice but to do so. Luckily, Har was happily able to share.

“It’s been so long since I’ve seen somebody else!” The avian said grinning as he set up a powerpoint. When he was finished, he sat Lucario down for a brief lesson.

“Do you know what photosynthesis is?” Lucario shook his head. “It’s basically what makes plants live. They take in water and carbon dioxide, that’s the air we breathe out, and they turn it into food for themselves and oxygen, that’s what we breathe in.” Har put a picture on the screen showing a chemical formula.

“Now I’m only the mechanical part of it. Los is chemistry and Sal the environmental science part. But basically, this is what we do. We made an oil that can take sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen and glucose, the plant food. Then we can use that glucose to jumpstart more chemical reactions, thus creating the energy we need! And this substance we use is called the Venet oil. Los name it.” The green avian admired the chemical formula.

“Was the name his idea?” Sky asked, looking at the presentation from behind Lucario. The pokemon turned to look up at him.

Har thought a bit. “You see, Los spent several days in his room, having very little water and food. Anything to provide enough data so he could get his payment. He needed it a lot for something I don’t recall. But the end result was this. And this will bring the world above to the place it used to be.” The avian concluded.

“It’s just that…” The cheetah pondered. “The name sounds familiar. From one of my past travels.” He shrugged.

Wherelse, several kilometers away, the strange beings in their suits were preparing to set out.

“Sssoon, we shall have what is taken.” One of the beings took off his helmet, revealing a snake head, the snout a foot long and wide. A long purple tongue came through the opening of his mouth. Its small yellow snake eyes looked at the Kras through the glass barrier.

“We Venetians are coming, to claim what is rightfully oursss.” He hissed.

Cartwright (creator of the Hamsters! comic, which we previously reviewed here) has returned with his first novel for kids, The Rabbit Chef and the Phantom Pepper. He illustrated the front as well, of course. “Cass the Rabbit is on an ambitious hunt for the legendary ingredient, the Phantom Pepper, so she can finally complete the greatest bowl of chili the forest will ever know. Looking for any furs running any pen and paper RPG's! So everyone looking to start a group, join a group, etc. get in here!

I'm looking to join a group, I've played 3.5 and 5th edition dnd a little and some pathfinder, but I'm willing to try near enough anything. Would help to be somewhere near GMT but Friday and Saturday I'd be available near enough any time.
