I'm terrible at art. Flat out. I know this, and I want to improve so I can draw my sona up and be happy with how he would look. If it's not too much trouble, can I have a bit of advice to get me started? It would be appreciated.

Most nerdy people out there (you know who you are!) who are also fans of music are familiar with the works of Jonathan Coulton. Oh mi gosh oh mi gosh, I just found out that I have a really high chance of going to Califur this year! It'd be my first con ever (not just furry). I'm really nervous, but excited at the same timeeee.. I even got my best friend (not furry) to agree to come with me! I'm just.. so glad. So, uh, any con tips or advice..?
