A number of artists on Twitter have recently been caught up in a meme in which Marvel superhero characters are re-drawn as cats. Here's a 3-page selection of some of the better ones, from Topless Robot, a great nerd blog which is otherwise critical of furry stuff. (I think the fact this meme originated from outside the fandom put it on safe territory.)

"Furries will be delighted to learn that upcoming RPG "Solatorobo" has apparently been designed exclusively with them in mind. Supposedly developers CyberConnect2 (best known for the .hack series and their outstanding Naruto games) have acknowledged the title as "kemono-er" friendly (the Japanese equivalent to "furry fandom") - certainly looking at the artwork it is hard to come to any other conclusion."

Granted, the film played in one theater-the Film Forum in Manhattan-but its weekend gross of $11,550 from a single location is impressive for an indie animated film.
